No.

I stay with my s775 quad. I've calculated whole platform change cost, and it's 0 (zero) to have an i7 930 + mobo + 6 GB RAM (I''ve got 4 now) + aftermarket cooler, but I decided not to swap :) Too many partitions & software to reinstall, it's not like just Windows and some games... maybe if I became ready for such nightmare, I will decide ;-)

Why not just take an image of your OS?

No. There's not really a lot of point with an i5 750 @ 4GHz (at least for the time being anyway). I plan to wait until Intel's next offering so I can either skip the current crop of SB processors or get a 2500K (possibly even a 2600K) at a reduced price.

yes i finally did it,i'm waiting delivery for i5 2500k,gigabyte ud3p,4gb corsair & 212plus cooler. ;)

edit:

can i change my vote from No to Yes ? :)

Also went 2600k + P8Z68; decision was helped by my Gigabyte mobo dying recently !

The good news is that the q9650 resells very well, and even the 8GB DDR2 resells for more than the new DDR3 !!

have seriously considered it a few times, but i still cant help but wonder if AMD will come up with something to shock everyone with the BD release. if not, hopefully by then SB will be cheaper.

No, I'm still rocking with my Q6600 @ 3.6GHz.

But really, it's because I'm still in denial.:(

Scratch this^.

I just bought an i5 2500K yesterday and sitting on my computer desk. Just waiting for OCUK to do some serious big discount offers on their P67 motherboard range. Can't wait!

Upgraded from a Q6600 G0 stepping to an i7 2600K.

Unbelievable difference, although the rig I built compliments the CPU very well I think :D

I will probably upgrade to a faster cpu and get an ssd (ddr3 ram and new mobo is part of this process)

Sticking with my 5870 tho.

Reckon I will feel any difference in gaming over what I have in my current sig?

Tomorrows games will be played: Skyrim, BF3 etc....
