2.4 front and 2.2 back on my Intense. Perfect. 2.4 on the back was a little bit of a close fit for me too!Anyone run 2.4 RQ's front and back or do you think im best for a 2.2 back?
Just fitted the brakes, shortened the hoses and found a daft Torx bolt on the top of the lever, why such a daft size torx. Going to have to go to the shop tomorrow now for a T10, i only have a T15.
Taking it to the woods in the morning there are some nice rocky areas and a good 4-5ft drop for me to set the shock up on.
All done.
Bleeding those Hope brakes is so easy, glad i ditched my Hayes all though they served me for about 3 years.
Off for a ride round clifton country park and worsley woods in the morning as long as the weather is alright get the suspension dialed in.
Sorry for the rubbish picture, when im out i will have my good camera so will get a few shots, with better background as well.
Only thing bugging me is where the cable is for the front mech it rubs on the frame, but i have put some tape there.
Liking that...
On the subject of brake bleeding....Did you use the official bleed kit?
Mine need bleeding after fitting the new hose which was a nightmare getting the fittings on the braided hose...seem to work ok though.
I plan on just getting some plastic hose instead of paying out for the full kit.
Does anyone know what size hose I need for the bleed nipple? (internal diameter)
Thanks
I just did mine this weekend with a length of 5.0mm ID hose from B&Q, worked a treat.
There is no bleed kit needed, its just like doing a car, fill with fluid, open valve, pull lever, close valve, release lever and repeat, while keeping the fluid topped up. Pop the lid back on and its done.
I don't get too excited about new stuff nowused to sit and drool over certain products and now I just don't care about it too much. I work on high end road stuff all the time and that has the same effect...
Spent the last few hours drooling over this and wondering what I can sell...
^ ^ The red on black looks nice. But that font is really horrid.
You might start feeling better if you start working on big bikes.
