Picking up a game for the weekend, Le Noir or Red Dead Redemption?

Red Dead is amazing online and offline. LA Noire is good but I'd wait till it comes down in price to be honest.

RDR here. Both games have got sod all replayability, but RDR has a better main storyline and freedom to do what you want.

RDR for sure... LA Noire is still a fantastic game but RDR is very very fantastic. It does however suffer from open world jank but you have to expect that in open world games.

Then again, it depends what type of "gamer" you are. Maybe you will hate RDR but love LA? Who knows. I say get both because RDR can be had for about £15 and LA for about £25.

RDR is cheaper so get that. Then in a month you can get noire for half the price it is now. I picked up portal 2 two weeks ago for a bit less than £25. My mate bought it new (not that long ago) for £35 lol.

I've not played Noire but I am one of the people that got RDR & went WOW the first day & Meh the next, Just seemed like to much hard work to me, Just my opinion though.

That is quite true, I was one of those as there's little to do beyond the main mission. Noire however...oh boy...it's worse.

When i started LA Noir i was loving it playing as the street cop , after i moved up the ranks i got bored very quickly , so much so that its become a chore to complete the game!

I'm with you there, I'm just giving it a few hours here and there when I have a day off work. Spending too long on it just means I start to find all its faults, whereas a couple of hours means I'm more interested in actually playing it.

Rdr is an amazing game, easily rockstars best. La noire is a rental title, no mp, and nothing to make you want to come back after you compete the main story. I couldn't even be bothered with the side missions before I returned it

Had RDR for 1 day and I'm already 15% through!

The story missions only cover 57% of the total completion. How many hours have you played? You can find that in the game stats but to get 100% you need:

Storyline Missions
Rare Weapons
Outfits
Jobs
Safehouses
Gang Hideouts
Single Player Challenges
Bounty Locations
Strangers
Mini Games
Locations

I really enjoyed the stranger missions in RDR, hopefully it's something they develop even further for the next GTA. Think I actually enjoyed them more than the regular missions sometimes.
