Can anyone point me in the direction of some free to download kids games. My lad is 6 years old.

At the moment i have SuperTux and SuperTux Racers (windows versions, currently running Windows 7)

I can find 100's if not 1000's of simple arcade style games, but i'm having trouble finding some that dont pop up Internet pages when you exit them.

As i'm sure your aware, i don't want my lad poking around websites that offer free downloads, as they tend to display and offer other inappropriate things.

BTW, these free downloads are legit shareware/trial programs, i'm not surfing dodgy 'warez' sites.

Not many free ones. You can grab a few indie games for cheap via steam (5 quid and are good fun).

Maybe Peggle Extreme and Trackmania (both free, but Trackmania is a racing F! style game).

As I said, not many free games for 6 year olds I'm afraid. I know a lot of free games, but they are for 12+ minimum.

Spore
Plants VS Zombies

Lads of 6 have the attention span of a goldfish with alzheimers. Stick him on either cbeebies or nick jr.
i'd take your kid to the doctors hes not at the mental age he should be by now

Do you have a PS3 and a registered PSN account from before April 20th? If you do you could always get Burnout paradise, Little Big Planet and Ratchet and Clank for free.

Condemned Criminal Origins
Doom 3
F.E.A.R
Silent Hill Homecoming
Resident Evil 5

...and even a six year old will complain that duke nukem forever is ****

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I think the main problem is, as he is new to games in general he just wants to try lots of different ones!

I could probably find a DVD with 1001 simple games on, probably 2 for £5 that kind of thing.

As mentioned above, he enjoys SuperTux, so any side-scrolling action game he can manage, same again with the Kart racing type games.

But his favorite at the moment is Frozen Bubble!

He likes Call of Duty (my games) but at the moment he doesn't have quick enough reactions for a fast paced game like this. Not to mention he isn't quite mature enough for them, i wonder what his teacher would say when hes running about the playground with his wooden MP5.

Not a good idea!
