Hi

My SSD is definetely connected properly but I cant seem to see it anywhere in BIOS or "My Computer".

Any ideas?

Cheers! :)

Is it shown in either Device Manager or Disk Management?

If you're planning on re-installing your OS onto it I wouldn't bother creating a partition on it yet - just let the Windows installer do that as it goes.

I can see it in device manager.

What SSD is it?

It on a SATA port that supports SSD's?

Windows will need to check under computer managment
Its a Crucial M4 64gb. I put it into a SATA3 slot on my mobo!

Well that means it works at least.

Before we can give you any further advice we need to know what you're planning on doing with the drive now.

Use it to boot my OS. Also, I found it in BIOS now where I could choose which hard drive to boot from. However it still confuses me why I cannot see it in "My Computer" now?

You can't see it in My Computer because it hasn't been partitioned and formatted.

If you want to boot from it you're going to have to reinstall your OS onto the SSD, doing that will partition and format the drive.
