My girlfriend is quite the "fan" of Ryan Reynolds, so I've had to endure a lot of his movies. I agree he plays the comic relief type character in a lot of movies, and he's not that good.

That said however, I'd recommend watching Buried, that's a brilliant film and he acts really well in it.

Our HR Officer thinks he's brilliant.

I told her the film Buried wasn't too bad but she didn't want to see a film where he swore.

Ryan Reynolds has been at least passable in everything I've seen him in (Just Friends excepted and I don't think anything could have saved that film) and I'm another who liked Van Wilder: Party Liaison - it's not a great film but it's quite funny in an easy going way.

I like him, enjoyed most of the comic roles i've seen him in and Buried definately shows he's a strong actor.

Most of the women at work like him so I would say he is generally considered above average.

I like him, haven't seen Buried or Green Lantern yet, but I liked him in Definitely Maybe and his performance in The Nines was superb, I thought. Great film.

Ruined blade3 ? He was good played the part very well and added some entertainment to the film.

My gf advises me she wouldn't kick him out of bed :rolleyes:

I think a lot of it is to do with his reputation among the directors.

They praised him in the DVD extras for blade 3 for his work ethic and attitude. They explained he went through months of training beforehand. I believe he was less than 10 % bodyfat when he filmed blade 3

It's like any actor. Not all will see the appeal. I personally don't see anything much about Megan fox. But millions of men went wild for her.
