The motherboard supports the upcoming AMD Bulldozer CPU's

The OCZ PSU is the same price as the Antec HGC620 but more powerful.

The GTX560ti is faster than say a ATI6870 etc, the actual ASUS card is reviewed here - http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_560_Ti_Direct_Cu_II/28.html

But ultimately a Sandybridge setup will be faster with the right graphics card.

Good. Sandybridge is always a better option. Missing optical, so you'll need to find a SATA drive at some point. For PSU, you have the choice between the Antec and the OCZ, and I'd choose the Antec personally. The OCZ is not that powerful (It's a bit gimped on the 12V).

Stulid....AMD.....I thought I would never see the day! :p

Someone had to show how its done, I knew I could do a better job, so did.

Good bang for the buck with the GPU, more powerful PSU which will last longer for future upgrades.

Within budget too for both.

i had to double take at stulid specc'ing an amd set up there :D

same here. it was just a few days ago that AMD was the most pointless company in the world and that you should avoid them at all costs. i think it was around this budget that stulid was recommending intel too

*edit*
my bad, it was a lower budget: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18287133

*2nd edit*
well, seeing that intel is clearly the way to go i thought i'd show you how its done :p

the this week only deals have also changed, so i cant get as big a PSU as stulids build, although why you would want a 700W PSU with a non SLI board i dont know, because by the time you get round to changing the motherboard the PSU will be due for a change anyway.

even without overclocking the i5 2300 blows anything the phenom II can throw at it.

however, if you do need an OS, i would agree that the AMD options start to look interesting

There is a huge disclaimer at the bottom of my post saying Sandybridge is faster.

I only put it up because theres already enough Sandybridge specs in here.

you said the AMD build was better though......

and i kinda missed the neon yellow disclaimer at the bottom because i was reeling back in shock after you were recommending an AMD build

Better than Oliviers;)

But the prices have changed today, so here are the latest specs for I5 2500K and AMD with and without a copy of Win7.
