Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

Nabbed Wipeout over the weekend, not played it since its original days. Love it so far! Dead Nation took an absolute age to download, no idea on the speeds but it literally took 12 hours for a 1.4GB file when it should have taken under an hour.

Thanks for that, I only downloaded one game and could not find the second so I guess I will have to do this.
 
I got wipeout HD and the rachet and clank game as I own the other 3 choices already. Don't really think much to the rachet and clank game but the wipeout one is superb. Did the first full zone using the autopilot guide thing which is enabled as default then disabled it and started learning how to play the game properly. Some of the speeds you can get upto on that game are just insane, especially on one of the modes which increases speed every 10 seconds until your ships energy is exhausted. Seen over 1000kp/h quite a few times on it which really makes cornering extremely difficult.
 
and here I thought he masterminded the SOCA ddos.. in as much as one can mastermind a ddos... busy chap, either that or the media are just attributing him with anything related to "lulzsec".
But now that they're targeting SOCA with such a pathetic tactic as dos, I think they deserve whatever they get.

So this haxor stuff got me Infamous, Dead Nation, Super Stardust HD, Locoroco and Hustle Kings :cool:

When is the next hack planned, lol

Quick question - is it possible to get the free PSP games even if you dont have a PSP PSN account? Just logged into my US account and noticed the PS3 games are identical to the EU offering which I already have but seems to allow me to choose PSP games.

As Im getting the Vita I guess getting the PSP games would be an idea - is this available on the other regions (including EU as Ive only downloaded 1 free PS3 game) too?

With regards to PSP titles - whats the best 4 (work best with Vita) on this list:

Also while I remember is there any point in me getting LBP PS3 even though I have the PS+ version of it - was hoping to strip the DRM limit on it, if I cant use the entitlement for PSP games on the EU PSN...

Hi Guys,

totally annoyed and looking for some help here..

downloaded infamous as my welcome back freebie, took a while but finally got it and started playing, every 5 minutes or so of game play the screen would go black, snowy (like when you tried to tune an old tv) and then the game appeared again.
After a while of trying to play, hoping it would fix itself I got fed up, and loaded black ops, only to find that the same thing happened when playing that.

any ideas would be gratefully received.

how is your PS3 connected to the tv? directly through HDMI or though an AV Amp or what?

Does it happen if you play a bluray or DVD or just some music?

It could be a dodgy cable or maybe the PS3 getting a bit warm or it growing a fault. Is it well ventilated and dust free?
 
Just to say that PS+ has updated with a few lil things - main one being Braid for £2 and the MAG Interdiction map pack is free - both will work even after the PS+ sub expires...

Can anyone answer my previous question regards how to get the free PSP games on EU and Aus PSN stores? Also is Japan PSN Store still down? I keep getting a message I cant decipher - rumours its region locked?!?
