At first my budget was gonna be around 400£ but it has gone over a bit... So i'd like your help in choosing some nice graphics card with ££ in mind... I mostly play Starcraft and WoW.... So dont think i need a very high end one... Also, So i want a 64bit OS or a 32 bit os?

Are all my components so far compatible?

I assume i need a better PSU ( like the one i have selected) than the ones that come with some cases as default...

Thanks for help. :)

Yeh all the parts look fine,

If it was me I would get a PSU that is a bit more future proof the one you have on there
is only 530watts, If I was you I would get something like a 650-700.

If you need a nice card that will play starcraft and WoW I would recommend the following:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-259-SP

Probably won't need all the power from that card but there will always be other games
that come out that you want to play that might need the power of the card.

I don't know if you like ATI or Nvidia so I put an ATI card on there lol

Hope this helps.

Ive been doing some adding up, and it seems if i buy the individual components (i would get the ones that are in the top sticky, the budget intel build) it comes out cheaper than if i buy the Argon bundle.. So my updated basket is:

That Motherboard is better than the one that comes with the Argon Bundle, right?

Any thoughts?

Dude, its wrong.

Heres a much faster spec.

Keeping the same Lian li case.

Better PSU.

Faster Harddrive.

The i3 2100 Sandybridge will destroy that i3 530, the motherboard has USB and SATA3.0 too.

I also added a optical drive.

Thanks!

Ah, so the quadruple digit cpus are better then the triple digit ones? Ok.

Mm, im having al ook again, and im trying to shave off a few ££... T

he XFX ATI Radeon HD 5830 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card, would it be much of a downgrade from the GTX460? Seems like its around 7-9fps difference in games... It is almost 40£ cheaper though.

What do you think? For my use ( Wow and Starcraft on 20" screen)

Also, is the stock i3 cooler enough for a little overclock, do i need the freezer 7?

Yes the newer stuff is faster, it also means you are buying the newer socket type.

You can't overclock the Socket1155 parts, for that you need a "K" version of the CPU (only available in 2500K and 2600K) and a P67 or Z68 motherboard.

But you wont need to overclock it really, its just faster as it is, I would also leave a Nvidia graphics card in the build as it seems more suited to the games you play.

Ah ok. So the stock retail cooler will be enough? ( the 'retail' cpus come with a cooler, right?)

Which of the Nvidia cards for around the 100£ mark are the best?

The stock cooler that comes with the retail CPU is fine, it can also cope with a overclocked i5 2500K at 4.5GHZ.

I think you have the best card in the spec, if you cut back on the case selection you could do this,

But if you want the Lian-li's better build quality, aluminum construction etc, then ignore.

That Gigabyte GTX560ti is on special offer today only, 9 units left.

Nah, i dont think i can justify getting that graphics card, a bit over budget, and dont need it tbh, maybe at a later stage. So my current basket is:

Looks good?

I still need a monitor, probably going to go for the "Iiyama ProLite E2208HDD 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor " That's on special offer this week, seems good.

EDIT: Oh, also, would i be able to fit all of that into a "Lian Li PC-Q07B Mini-ITX Case"? I really want a small case.

Put the GTX460 back in.

Its more than just a downclocked version with a name change, the actual core of the GTS450 has less stuff in it.

Ok, ok, i put the 460 back in... God damn peer pressure. :p

Oh so the case wont fit those mm ok. I guess ill just buy a cheapo case for now from some random pc shop. Basket (with monitor):

Any thougths?

The 460 OC is £127 now.

:'(

At least the GTX 460 Green is still at an attractive price. That over any GTS 450 any day. If you want to save money, the value GTX 460 will be a nice performer.

That's about the only thing I would cut down from the build.
