It's been discussed to death in this thread. I just said we should have a vote and that I voted against hardcore. No real need to justify why I prefer one mode and you prefer another.

16 people and we have squad deathmatch, over 16 we could have conquest or rush.

I think we're better off sticking to a SQDM. Rush and Conq are great but if we're going to organise a game of that we should do so rather than leave it in maybe-land.

The linktart site is available for use if this helps people organise. I suggest we use the OcUK mumble server in general (though people may choose to use their own obviously).

why are some of the higher ranked players so against HC?

it can become a camp fest, but i definitely always do much better playing hc, always have a k/d of at least 2. even in bad games playing assault, for normal team rush i much prefer HC, for SQDM SQRush and conquest i like normal mode, but when playing with lots of people from here i don't really mind.

its tough if you play HC a lot and go back, as it seems like you have to empty a whole clip in someone, HC seems more realistic apart from the other day i killed someone by shooting them in the foot with a sniper :D

I've played a bit of HC and I just find it a lot more death match style. I like BC2 because of the tactics and different techniques you can use. I don't get that same feeling with HC because of the ease it is to kill someone.
 
Might be on for a few games tonight, depends if a) I dont feel dead like I do at the moment and b) if the baby actually lets me play
