What pains me about hardcore are snipers. You get a whole multitude of players who want to camp and get one hit kills. They're not interested in the objective, only their kills. And they're only on hardcore because they aren't good enough to snipe on normal.

If it weren't for them, the mode would play more fairly with enemies actually engaging eachother in fights.

What they should do is make a sniper only mode, where they can shoot back and forward at eachother all day and not bother the rest of us.

Ahh yeh

And the uav and the tanks!, one **** in a tank just left the main base and drove off towards the enemy base. I asked where he was going and to come back " two tanks near the bridge " and i was ignored. Thus two tanks just rolled into our base with ease!. It was as if our team couldn't be bothered, when it went onto the offensive same thing happened.
 
The plus side with the rounds last night was that when it came to both teams turn to defend, they defended damn well which made some rounds really good fun.
 
Just bought this game and it came through the door today but it won't install, whenever I try to run it my disk drive just makes a clicking sound and it stays on copying files forever, I'm currently ripping it to an ISO to see if it will install when mounted but has anyone else had a problem with this game?
 
Got mine from steam, however I've got 8 DVD's arriving in the post shortly...

Do the PC DVD installations still use SecureRom and require the disk to be in?

Why do snipers annoy people so much?

It's quite easily to simply flank them and get a cheeky knife kill :p

You can choose, you can either keep the disk in as authorisation or connect online, it gives you the option but once you choose you can't change without a reinstall
 
I had people continually killing me from half way across the map with the 870MCS on Vietnam yesterday. I really wanted to smash their nose with my keyboard. Gits.

Glitch in the system then. Bizarrely enough he wasn't moving. He just stood there as I unloaded all my bullets into him and then he turned slowly towards me and killed me with one shot.

That was my last game before I finished. I had a quick look at his stats and he was something like 47 kills 2 deaths.

Ah, thank you. In which case I'll opt for the DVD, since each PC is a clone of a master and the online SecureRom auth will fail - despite us all having legit keys / copies (some steam some PC DVD).

Just had a go on the pistol/knifes only server, my god i had no idea how hard it was to clear a room with out grenades :eek:


That said it you seems to get very high scores with pistol only.

I generally don't get annoyed with the game but this annoys the **** out of me. We were defending at the first stage of Harvest Day, and I'd parked a tank right between A and B. Good arc of fire, and generally I can judge shell drop and distance with the tank bloody well. Combined with a friend playing Engi and I was sat there for 85% of the round just killing every vehicle that came over the field towards us. Barring a miracle they were not going to get past.

Then we take a little over average damage and I pop out to help with the repair.. Some **** jumps in the tank and rolls off immediately toward the advancing enemy. No support, no cover, no point. Obviously gets blown up in about 30 seconds. Then their tanks roll right in, there's no Engi's on our team because I'd be killing every tank at about maps length for the whole game, and they blow up the Mcoms.

I know everyone likes to play the game their way and I've no right to tell him to do otherwise. But when your way consists of rolling forward in a tank 30 meters and getting blown up, he probably should have just copied me and got some kills out of it.
 
hopefully kill some peeps tonight stinking isp power surge ftl knew something wasnt right as it was not reging at all lol tbh i blame dg for all the worlds isp probs (lowest bait ever)
