Knocked 2'c Off My Temps.

Well after yesterdays sweatshop[my PC room] just checked my log to find out when the last time l cleaned out my filters, etc. It was due in a couple of weaks so decided to do a early one, so pulled the complete fan set up out. Gave them a good clean and a bit polish a anti-static one can't do no harm, went over the mobo with a paint brush to losen the dust and blasted everywhere with my electric air bed pump. Works out far cheaper than a air can, especailly if you have more than 1 PC in the house.

Well after that spring clean, it had knocked off a 2'c off my temps, so have a quick check and see what your filters, etc, are like can't do anyharm.

LoL, speaking of driving trains, use to do that for a living, nope just kept my eye's shut, l'm afraid of the dark and just mowed anything over that got in my way.

Yes, a log > record of things, l use to fill one in every time l did my job, but now retired lucky me.

Do you have one to change your Y-fronts ha ha

Back on topic. Years ago i had a thermaltake setup. And i thought this is crap time to get new.

Anyway i cleaned it up but then on one wanted it. So i plumber it all back in and temps dropped 15c i had not cleaned it for over a year.

Got a nice custom loop now

Pssh, I knocked 7 C off of my CPU temps when I last did a clean of my case and heatsink.

Not quite l go by the skid marks on my Y-fronts, time to change them, glad the pair of yous got lower temps. But a 2'c drop over the past to very hot days is not bad.

I clean mine every month or so.. live in a dusty house with 2 cats and me and my old man and needless to say, we're not the tidiest people in the world so generally a month is actually to long, but it's effort to drag the computer outside to the air compressor to give it a clean
