:D

Lol, nice numberplate.

A Subaru is going around with the numberplate P555 OFU spaced as P555 OF U. :\

It's a pretty funny plate. :D

But... the guy is being a real dick about not giving it back, the DVLA said that occasionally "offensive" plates slip through and that was the case in this occasion, they've sent him a new set of plates to use and offered him a full refund but he's refusing.

Mr Clarke said that the letter from the organisation does not specify what his punishment will be if he keeps using the plate.
They'll just Q-plate him if he's not careful which will hurt resale value more than his principals.

No they won't. They've sent him another plate and have withdrawn his current plate. If he doesn't use the new plate he's committing an offence.

Remember you don't own the plate. You licence it under the DVLA's terms. They can withdraw it at any point.

Anyone that can look at that plate and interpret it for what it is, has heard the word in question many times already.

As for DVLA being incompetent, that's not really fair, human errors are made and everyone in this thread has made one themselves. If you didn't spot FA55 OTS and then you get a call from your boss saying an auditor has found a rude numberplate that you let through, I'd probably sympathise.
