So I need to hire a gold supercar, ideally a lambo or a ferrari, suggestions?

We've tracked down the guy who owns the only one in the UK but unfortunately he is asking for too great a fee.

there is probably a reason for this. He knows that are very few / no other gold ones about, so if its gold you want...

how much is his fee and for what time period?

Oh I see, this is for commercial reasons I guess?

Do you have an address for us to invoice your company for our consultancy services?

Or you can not bother posting? You're just being intrusive.

You make an unusual request and then think I'm being intrusive for wondering why it has to be gold?

If you want us to help your employer for free the least you can do is not be so funny about it when we dare to ask why.

Well you're both assuming thats the case. He's hasn't said anything of the sort.

If he doesn't want to tell you thats his business.

There's no reason for you to know why it needs to be gold, you have all the information you need to help me, if you don't want to help me, then fine.

Had to laugh at 'if you want us to help your employer for free' Do you charge for all advise you give out on overclockers? What's the going rate?

I already started that I couldn't disclose why it needs to be gold, so once again, stop asking. I expect some condescending reply from you as you've always got to have the last word.

What's with the aggro?
If we're helping you to do a job for which you are getting paid, I suggest you change your tone.

Says the guy who linked me to google.

Most people on here are private individuals, asking for advice for themselves. Fox has simply assumed that your lack of details means it's work related... and at the end of the day much as Fox is a nice guy giving people BMW advice and the like it's not his job to do your job for you or make your company more money. He's not asking for your DOB, NI Number and what you had for dinner... it's just that when people are cagey with the details there's normally a particular reason behind it.

It's simple, he wants to know something he doesn't NEED to know. I said no, end of.

As already said, if you don't want to help, don't bother.

Not so ninja edit

Strange that, could have sworn that Gustov's 20:22 post said something different when Kenai posted at 20:26. Nearly as if he read Kenai's post, realised that running away from the bank shouting 'it wasn't me that stole the money honest guv' wasn't the best plan ever and ninja edited his post at 20:29.

Nope, I give my time, opinions and advice completely free in the interests of helping private individuals. I enjoy doing this and get a lot out of it.

However, I wouldn't give the same level of time and advice to a company looking to use that information for profit making activities for free, why should we? You are paid by him to find this info out, we are not.

You must remember this is a discussion forum. It isn't a forum where you can demand information. You can ask questions - and these questions lead to discussions, which more often than not will contain the answer you are looking for but if they don't they end up providing a discussion for the community to participate in anyway. In the context of this 'Why does it need to be gold' is hardly an outrageous and instrusive question to ask of somebody who pops in to ask where he can hire a supercar in a colour it is almost certain that literally no hire car company has.

What are you talking about? I realised that what I wrote could have been deemed offensive so edited it...

so you wont tell us what your prepared to pay or how much the other bloke wanted?
do you realise how much supercars cost in wear and tear just for a few miles? what the guy wanted was probably realistic

Well here's some more information. I'm a runner at a film distribution company. If you put 2 and 2 together I'm pretty sure you'll be able to understand why 'we' need one now. i'm on £50 a day and will see absolutely NO personal gains. I'm simply doing this as a favor for my boss.

Asking why the car needs to be gold after I had I politely declared I would rather not disclose the reasons is completely intrusive. Outrageous? I never said it was, I would expect people to ask why, why why.

Also it's not as if you have contributed to this thread in a helpful manner and then asked relevant questions that might help you aid me. You've just been asking questions throughout which you really don't need the answers to assist me.

I understand if you don't want to share your free time, that's 100% your call.

I don't mind telling you that. He wanted £3,000 for a day.

Asking for your bank details, how much you've got in your savings account or what school you went to and for how long is 'completely intrusive'. Asking why you require a gold car is not 'completely instrusive'.

Keep calm they all are trying to help you believe it or not, it didnt seem unreasonable to ask why gold.
