Average of 300 to 400 hours apparently, but you unlock everything at 25 or 27 so you don't have to go to lvl 50.

I'm at almost 500 hours played and only just going on rank 46 mind you i only ever play conquest and spend far too much time trying to kill people rather than taking objectives. :)

The only thing that affects your rank is score per minute and time you wasted in game.

Anyone who claims to do rank 50 in less than 300h is either lying or has spm of over 300.

Mine is just below 190 but I'm a very casual player.

Most people with higher ranks (e.g. at a later stage of their gameplay) will achieve 220-270 spm. Of course if you're a veteran FPS player you will hit that level much quicker.

K : D ratio, on the other hand, will be mostly affected by your choice of servers (normal/HC, Rush/Conquest/SQD), how many times you're on the winning team (it's unusual to find a public server with even teams nowadays), your skill and the classes you use.

The retail copy should register on Origins normally, not sure about other online copies although I've heard that Steam copies register so I would suspect so.

My spm is 143 ono, casual player as well, dont take the game too seriously. I used to play a lot of fps, mohaa, sof2, delta force series and joint operations. The latter was awesome, over 100 players on massive maps, ultra long range sniping, great teamplay and a wide variety of aircraft/vehicles.

Had a bit of good fun on nM tonight. I was actually trying to get bronze on a bunch of different guns. That Garand is such a silly old thing.

I think my SPM is about 200 but really all I do is jump at any objective. Which would explain my KD of not so good.

Just unlocked the M1 garand myself, love it so far, reminds me of mohaa and cod 1 when i use it. Iron sights are a bit strange for me though, as i normally use a x4 scope on the modern weapons.

And that is why you fail.

Ditch the x4 it's horrid
I only use reddot if I have to, iron-sights are normally enough

Ive only been using it for the last two nights, pretty good so far. Im also back on the aug as im trying to plat it, finished with the trusty g3. Ive been suffering from some strange fps dips the last few days, only recent change to my system is a 120gb ssd, oc's on the cpu and gpu's are fine, no throttling due to overheating etc, still on 270.61 nv drivers. Were you not on tonight at all Neil?

@Squark: Ive been using the x4 so long now im very used to it, on the aug for example, with iron sights, there seems to be a noticeable delay from clicking right mouse to getting the sight picture. With the x4 scope, it seems to be quicker, plus it makes the gun more accurate for long range shots.

I don't think it actually improves the accuracy a jot, just helps you to see the target at long range.

I find the x4 useless, you can fire just as accurately at range with the iron sights, and I'd rather use my spec slot on something more useful like lightweight. Plus it totally tunnels off your vision which in a CQB is not what you want.

I find it useful for judging bullet drop at range, but with the garand, ive been getting a bit more used to iron sights, got a few long range kills on the harvest day map earlier tonight. May give them a try on other weapons as well. Ive heard a lot of people on here reccomending lightweight as well. Cant hurt to try a few new things.:)

In terms of scoping in, 4x is quicker than iron/regular, as well as 12x, and red dot is the quickest.

My mates started balling around with 4x M95, I tried it and concluded that. Still prefer regular/12x over it though. Never use 4x/Red Dot on any other gun. AEK might need it though, I hate its iron sight.

Edit: Really Setter, ironsighting lets you have so many more options with the rest of your set up. I love outsniping people with the Neostead :)

Sidearms, what are those.:D Ive got a few kills with the M9 and 300 or so with the knife. Ive had the game since release, but stopped playing it for 2 months or so. Only got back into it in the last couple of months.

I find it easier to kill people with pistols than with an assault gun for example.

There is some wierd auto aim glitch where i dont even scope in my handgun and just have it pointing roughly the right way, put a full clip out there and i get the 50 for a kill.. its wierd, but im not complaining.

I prefer shunting tanks about though,. there was a match yesterday i must have personally ended 4 tanks and an APC in a match that didnt get past the first set of objectives lol.

Yeah I find that particularly true with the REX or the 1911. It's like my aim is always off but somehow it always hits. Saying that, "scoping" with the REX is almost a waste of time, its almost impossible to hit anything with it no matter how good your aim! I don't even bother with that one.
