Tis very unusual - I'd hope there was some legitimate reason for him going out of camp alone. Though short of being some form of under water knife fighting ninja I can't think why he'd be in that situation.
Have they started doing patrols with the ANA with only 1 of our guys present?

He didnt just wander out of camp.
Rumours are that after his watch at a road checkpoint he went swimming with the ANA he was stationed with and thats the last people saw of him. Its not a stretch to wonder what happened to him, the ANA are as corrupt as they come they probably tried to deliver him to a local taliban commander, he fought back so they shot him.

No they have not started doing 1 man patrols with ANA thats just utter poo

no he was shot (reported he had gunshot wounds)
I wouldn't expect them to tbh... though I can't think why this poor bloke ended up by himself.
Perhpas suicide or a kidnapping - does all seem rather unusual though.
