Original Sin to In Deep to Facrobat is always one of my favourite runs. A-Line is meh unless you're obsessed by jump lines. Freight Train is always fun too.
With the amount it's going to cost you to rent a DH bike, pay for a pass you might as well enjoy at least half if not the full day on the mountain.
The drop on A-Line is rollable, but you can just hit the go around to the right. A-Line gets all the people wanting to go down it fast non-stop, so don't suddenly come to a halt right before that drop, I've had someone do that in front of me...
Almost everything has a go-around, all the drops and jumps are well marked beforehand.

I've had a look at the runs you suggested on Youtube, I prefer technical descents rather than balls out air every few seconds so they look right up my street. I'd probably be less bothered about the drops if I did have to drive halfway across Canada after my stop in Whistler.
Did you hire a bike over there or ship yours out, I'm probably going to Hire a Rocky Mountain Flatline from SummitSport, given the only other option is a Stinky/Garbanzo.

I travelled with my bike, but I live over this side of the pond. There's lots of shops renting so take a look around before committing. A friend rented a Specialized Demo 8 last year so there's not just RM or Kona's.
For a first run just go to the top of Fitzsimmons and do Crank it Up, then on your next run go to the top of Garbonzo.

Just seem some really dodgy looking lad outside a shop on a Big Hit. I reckon there's a good chance he didn't buy that through an approved Specialised dealer...

Not sure how that sliding mechanism will stand up to abuse i.e. dirt/grit in the long term....
Think Im going to sell my bike. Not getting on with the geometry. Hindsight it was a good 2nd hand buy but not the right one for me. What do you guys think its worth?

What condition is it in? Google says you can still pick them up new for ~£2.5k, so I'd say you might want to be looking around the £2k mark possibly.

Advertise at 2k but expect much closer to 1500. What did you pay for it?
XT front, not X0 shifter with XT mech.
I think you'd be lucky to get £1000 for the full bike.
My suggestion would be to split it up and sell the lot in as many bits as you can.
He clearly says XT MECH (Front) and X0 Shifters.... Am I missing something?
