Milly Dowler's voicemail was hacked by News of the Screws

whole lot of poeple jumping up and down about something that in the end and with all things considered does.....not....really....matter.

Everyone is being so PC about this but hell, get off the band wagon and think about it. The poor girl is dead. The soldiers are dead. I fully appreciate the grief its caused but signing the p45's for all the people who work for the related companies helps nobody.

The self righteousness of the massess is hillarious sometimes.

RIP etc.

The indignation is justified, and if anything the main problem in the UK is people with attitudes like yourself.

It doesn't effect me so why should I care?

This isn't political correctness, it's justified moral outrage at widespread criminality.

I must admit, on the scale of widespread criminality, it is pretty low down on my own personal radar.

But, that wont detract from my own schadenfreude at seeing those arrogant SOB's caught lying and cheating.

No, but do you think he is really going to go after his Etonian friends and supporting businesses?
Which Etonian friends?

Also what's wrong with saying 'school friends' or 'friends' rather than 'Etonian friends'? Are they only worth going after if they went to Eton (thus ruling out Rebekah Brooks, Andy Coulson, and so on?

Actually you don't need to answer that - I know it is just your politics of envy creeping through, yet again :)

The criminal act(s) aren't the main contention however, it is the moral aspect.

Totally anecdotal but I went for a haircut today, and when it came on the news the whole shop started nattering about it in unison about how unjustified and stupid it was, how disgusted people were and how unpalatable a personallity you would need to listen to such.

Myself, they've got one man in jail and they have interfered in police murder investigations and treaded where no one has a right to. That is serious concern, as are the police in the payment of these people.

It does not instil confidence in the establishment, not when it's all unravelling like such.

Some people look at it differently than others, but to label all this 'PC gone mad' is just stupid frankly.

Why don't you try thinking about it ... and get back to me when you stop sympathising with sociopaths.

What is wrong with saying Etonian friends?

Those involved in this business and financing of it, those who benefit from these papers and editorials.

Why would I be envious, and what would I be envious of? Well if I am envious it's better than being a narrow minded biggot.

Most of them don't seem to be old Etonians and those that are don't seem to have been in the same class as Cameron.

I doubt you knew many people who went to the same school as you 3 years after you or 3 years before. It's just an envy thing, nothing more. The have-nots trying to convince themselves they are happy with the inferior education they received. And I say that as a have-not myself, like I ever went to Eton :p

People with the means to go to Eton? Who knows? What's the difference between one's 'Etonian friends' one's 'school friends'?

Why is it only his 'Etonian friends' he might need to 'go after'? Are those from Rugby School or Hackney Comp spared?

All you are trying to do is elicit prejudices and emotions similar to your own. It's pathetic.

Well if I am envious it's better than being a narrow minded biggot.
Apples and oranges - both ugly qualities.

Yes, but the implications and effects do go further.

Indeed, but I do know some of them.

It's not envy, I'm not envious and neither am I a "have-not" anymore than you are. But roll on with it fox. It's doing your point of view wonders.

Because all it's doing is trying to evoke emotions by using class war terms. Are they actually Etonian friends? I'm not sure they are. So why use that terminology?

Edit: if they are friends from Eton then of course that would fine I would add!

I honestly couldn't care about people with the means to go to Eton, or any other prestigious educational establishment all more power to them for want of a better pun.

The problem inherrent is cronyism, but I suppose I'm just jelous I'm not a crony, yeah? I'm not saying it is unique either on the right, but I am pointing it out.
