No it isn't.

But if you're after a full cover water block then one for a 6870 fits.

DISCLAIMER: Do this at your own risk. This guide is for REFERNCE 5850's only. Doing this on non-reference boards is almost guaranteed to brick your card. DONT DO IT. This may not work for everyone its just a guide of how I did it and how it worked for me. Good luck!

fair enough, how come he performs the flash on a sapphire 5850 then or must it be a different model.

Ok I will start this off by saying this is only tested to work on sapphire 5850s but it should work on other reference 5850's

That is definatly not the reference cooler anyway (if the picture is 100% accurate that is).

Because like most manufacturers Sapphire made reference 5850 cards initially and then after a while produced their own non-reference variants.

wanted to flash the 5850 bios with the 5870 bios

Just overclock it if you're after 5870 speeds.

As far as I'm aware there's nothing to unlock like there was with a 6950 flashed to a 6970.

I assume this unlocks shader cores? or are those hardware disabled?
