The official in for 10k thread! £154,000,000 tomorrow!

Not everyone plays the Euromillions. I'd be willing to wager that a VERY small percentage eligible to play actually participate.

Seriously like how can not 1 person WIN in the whole of EUROPE. Think how many millions of people and think of the million numbers they would use

Depends how busy it actually is in europe?? Even though it is very popular in this country might not be case in others

There's orders of magnitude more number combinations than there are pounds paid into the lottery. The jackpot is chump change compared to how much you would spend covering every combo to guarantee a win.

Not watching or following it but juddging by this tweet...

Back to work monday then. RT @JBizzzay: Nobody has won the record £166m Euromillions jackpot - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Round you go again with the idiot tax. :D

Got to wonder, if £2 is seen as so much it constitutes a tax, who are the real idiots, the people willing to throw £2 away on a hope and dream and help out some worthwhile charities, or the people who see £2 as so much they see it as a tax status.

Sorry to sound so negative but seriously why do people even both with the lottery the chances of you winning are so so so small its just a con surely to get you hooked and take your money over time.

say that to the thousands who have became millionaires from it...

or even the hundreds of thousands (millions?) that have benefited from related charities/organisations

what else does a pound or two get you these days ?

I remember hearing about someone who chose 6 lotto numbers, but didn't actually want to spend the £1 or £2 each week in order to buy the ticket...

Instead he said that if his numbers did come up he would top himself... :p

What if I gave you a 1 in 1 million chance to win 2 million x your stake.

Would you go for it?

The point is that long odds don't necessarily mean anything.
