i am gonna be putting 16gb in this board and using all 4 slots ...do i need to tweak any voltages so they all work or should it be ok thanks.

If the sytsem isn't clocked they should hopefully slot straight in a SB setup (and perhaps even if it is clocked).

If you're running the memory under max recommended voltage (which is a bonus) you may need to up the voltage slightly but still within recommended tolerance (but only if you don;t get any success with your present voltages).

Also, make sure your memory is set up manually in the BIOS before you install the additional sticks as using auto/XMP can sometimes cause problems using all 4 slots.

ill have to check my bios thanks for the info on this..

Not a problem.

What will you use the additional memory for as 16GB is a mighty amount?

I'm not about to preach - but if you're unaware of the limited benefits of memory, for every day usage, i wouldn't want you to waste money as 8Gb will swallow 'whole' most apps/games.

i am running 8 at the moment and had a 8gb stick spare from my x58 triple channel...ive just bought 8gb stick cheap ....so thats the only reason really to be honest.

Fair enough - you could experiment with Ram Disks as you'll have plenty to spare...

Hopefully they'll install with zero problems - post back if you hit any hurdles.

running 4 sticks of xms3 on p67-ud4. all i did was set timings manually and lowered the voltage till it kept stable. Got them at 1.48v now

well all in and seems to be working great nps whatsoever and ive been running for 2 days now .....thats me finished upgrading now for a while lol.

lol thanks toxic...so whats your next project....

Keeping one step ahead of the tax man ;)
Am going to go for an opteron setup Mr Biffa's idea first and foremost, being the thickish type i allways went for more gpu but a 4 cpu mobo would also save on electric and keep my output going strong .... hopefully :)
