I hear a few of the people who worked on DOAC are working on this game but I can't find any sources

  • Open world PVP
  • As your character advances and becomes more powerful he will venture into the fray and take on challenges where the other factions are the ultimate opponent.
  • Factions at War
  • World battles such as the ones that take place on Dominus pit faction against faction on a large scale.
  • Arenas
  • Always the place for one to test their mettle in a battle society.
  • Bounty Hunters
  • Become a famous (or infamous) Bounty Hunter, or gain renown by surviving with incredible bounties placed on your head.
  • Scifi MMORPG
  • Prime Battle For Dominus is a science fiction Massively Multiplayer Online Game. Its story will evolve over time, but at the center of it all is the interplanetary struggle between Earth and two other alien races.
  • 3 Playable Factions
  • Ally with three totally unique factions. Whether you choose Human or one of the two alien factions, Rodon or Salent, each has its own perspective on the current events in the game.
  • Character Progression
  • Everything you do adds to your overall skill. Start the game as an elite Human, a genetically engineered Rodon, or a nascent Salent and build your character into a powerful avatar.
  • Huge Universe
  • Explore 11 worlds with over 25 large seamless areas. Don't be fooled by the beauty of the planets of Prime. Each has its own mysteries to discover and its own danger.
  • Massive Battles
  • Join the struggle for dominance by establishing bases, stopping invading forces and braving war torn planets.
  • Professions
  • By specializing in one of 7 professions you can discover new inventions, construct incredible items, develop enhancements, and make your character rich beyond belief.
  • Missions
  • Whether you follow the story that develops around you or decide to just explore on your own, your skills will be put to the test with exciting missions.
  • GM driven content
  • One of the main attractions of a massively multiplayer game is that you play with real people! Many player encounters are conducted by real players and are not just elaborately scripted events.
  • Strategic Base System
  • Establish a foothold for your faction and take control of valuable resources in the game by calling in any one of 7 different base structures. Each structure has a different function in strengthening your factions position. Be ever wary, each of the other factions will take every opportunity to destroy your bases and deploy their own.
  • Amazing Graphics and Sound
  • Prime Battle For Dominus is designed to look great on most modern PC's. The sound and music is also important to the overall feel of the game and has been done by professionals with many AAA titles to their credits.

sounds good but the screenshots look like they are straight from a playstation game and i dont mean a playstation 3 either

is there a reason these screenshots on their website are so small?

i know graphics arent everything but if thats the best you can do in 2011 something is very very wrong

actually you compare the game to doac so why dont we throw a doac screenshot in here

i could probably have passed this doac screenshot off as this game and no one would have noticed lol...

Cant say that early alpha screenshots bother me really, after all.. when Daoc was under development it looked like this (which was pretty poor even for its day) ...

But ended up being the best factional PvP MMO I ever played :D

Looking at the graphics I get the feeling we will see something wow-esque graphical wise. I would be quite content with that as I prefer gameplay to graphics in mmo's, I still play wow and the graphics fit with what they are trying to do.

Sounds like the arena would be a side feature (says arena to test your skills) but still ages to go with this, promising though :)

Those graphics look perfectly acceptable if they deliver on all the other stuff they're promising.

[insert 'go back to CoD' comment of your choice here ;)]

Edit - if open world PvP means you can get ganked while you're levelling by your own side, not interested.

This is so going to fail.

more than likely i doubt it will be any better than warhammer online was which was actually a pretty good game just the endgame pvp was pretty crap, capturing a zone took forever etc

Very possible.

But it's nice to see a game setting out its stall as a world based pvp game not another wow/rift/aion/SWTOR/war/lotro focusing on pve and tagging on another dross battleground based pvp system.

Still a longgggggg way to go and it may well lurch in the wrong direction but first impression is positive and if they stick to their guns it could be a relatively sucessful, though perhaps niche, game.
