I had a charge duster - it was ace - not flexy at all, old school looks with modern angles / parts

I dont mind the looks of orange bikes, but they represent the worst value I can find on any bikes

Matti's proto Carbon SCalp is super light

Just watched the Windham Head2Head with Steve Peat and Aaron Gwin - http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Gwin-vs-Peat-Head-to-Head-at-Windham-2011.html

Gwin wasn't actually any faster on the bottom 2/3rd's of the course and appeared to get his 2 second win in the very top section which seemed the technically easier section of the course... Could it be that Gwin is just physically more powerful enabling him to win right from the get-go?

I ain't saying his technical ability won't be first class but maybe its not as streaks ahead as some people may think but being able to put the power down quicker is most of his advantage?

Look what just turned up!

The post-lady looked rather unimpressed when I answered the door. I don't think I've had someone give me such contempt in quite a while. She must be on. :o

So I have voulenteered to do the Coast to Castles ride August bank holiday and need to get into a training routine. Could people recommend anything that might help? Did a very flat 12miles on Friday and a quick 3mile down / 3 mile climb last night. Should I just be building these up? 4 nights a week too much do you think, I'm just concerned about the time I have left really. I have never done more than 30miles in one day.

I will be doing:

Day One 40miles
Day Two 61miles
Day Three 72miles
Day Four 55miles

As much as I hate to admit it, my current Kona Hoss is far too small for the type opf riding I seme to be doing now. :(

So it looks as though i'm going to be needing a replacement for it. Do you think i'd be better off selling the bike as a whole and buying a new one, or just buying a new frame and swapping the rest over?

Current ride is a 15" Kona Hoss Deluxe, i'm 6'1". I assume I should be riding something roughly 19" ish? Any suggestions as to a replacement frame? I'd like something quite tough if possible.

Bit gutted but realise it'll make my riding a fair old bit better.

That was the ideal initially ;) I wanted to be 15 again.

Since then i've started doing more miles, with the seat jacked right up and it's just massively uncomfortable.

Like I say, I need something to suit my height now.
