Rate or slate my spec before I buy!

Unless you need the added featuers on the Gigabyte board i would exchange it for the MSI P67A-C45 for £89 so you could then afford the 2500K CPU.

Because if you don't need the extra bells and whistles i, personally, think your missing a trick not getting the '2500K' CPU.

This. Everything else looks good.

EDIT: You may also want ot consider the 5850 as a card - but if BF3 is a Nvidia oriantated game then stick with the 460

the i5 2400 cannot be overclocked, you will need the i5 2500k if you want to do that.

also, what PSU and DVD drive are you planning on using?

Would two gfx cards be an option on that board in future?

This yeah? Also I've got a PSU and DVD drive already, bought them from somewhere else. I'm totally Nvidia biased these days also!

As well as what I've said above ^ does a 560 offer anything worthy of the price difference over a 460? It's sad to see how low down in terms of performance my gtx280 is now :(

The 560 would really hit your budget - and if you're considering sli you would be better off getting the 'K' CPU and adding a second 460 at a later date.

Unless you could afford the 560 plus the 2500K?

About to buy this now when I came across a few benchmarks with my current gpu vs the 460, and to me it looks like an almost pointless change? I've got a pretty awesome, well at the time 280gtx and it blows most stuff away apart from BC2.. which I know is heavily CPU dependant so I'm wondering is my crap FPS purely because of dual core? if so I'll avoid changing gfx cards for now and just buy the rest!

stick with 280gtx fro now, when more inof/sepcs come out about bf3 etc then you can better choose your gpu

also when are new gpu cards out? hd 7XXX and gtx 6xx?? maybe end of this year/oct/when bf3 comes out?? maybe
