Modern Warfare problems

Hi Guys, I know I ask for help all the time but I'm having major difficulty with this. I purchased Modern Warfare in the Steam sale and it won't run multiplayer.

I have gone through everything that Activision have said will fix it but nothing happens, it just says "iw3mp.eve has stopped working" but prior to this it asks me if I want to run in Safe Mode.

If anyone can help it would be most appreciative.

Start - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Recording tab - Right Click; Show disabled devices - Enable Stereo Mix.

It's a problem I ran into a short while ago and this fixed it for me. No idea why it happens. Glad you got it fixed .

Did you also have a problem being kicked from games? says somethings disabled.

You have to right click the game in Steam and untick Enable Steam community in game. Its the Punk Buster that is doing this.

Punkbuster I'm guessing. Go to the Punkbuster website and download the latest version, then run it and get it to update the game.

I had this problem a few weeks ago so unistalled MW , will reinstall and see if this works

anyone having the same problem with Battlefield 2 on STEAM do this.

just disable steam community in game, stupid PunkBuster doesnt even fix problems like this, such SIMPLE problems.

Yeah BF2/PB kicks for Steam overlay, proper /yawn.
