Any Android Phones with a Hardware Keyboard incoming?

Sony Xperia Pro is about it, but it's nothing special. Useless, I know. I'm going blackberry :/

I think the best thing to do is move with the times and get used to touchscreen.

I loved texting on my E72, but I could text faster with the iphone after only using it for 10 minutes.

You're limiting yourself massively, and missing out on the best tech by requiring a hardware keyboard.

Also now mega delayed, September says engadget. Touchscreens wont bite, you'll be fine with em :)

I've told him this a thousand times but he insists on being able to touch type.

If you absolutely must have a hardware keyboard, I'd give the Nokia E7 a try. It's Symbian but it's a nice device.

I really like being able to touch type okay! :p
I would still place a lot of money on being able to type faster with a real keyboard, too.

BB looks set for an August release in a lot of cases, and probably suits my usage better, mainly texts and emails, and having BBM is a plus. The only thing I'll probably miss is angry birds :p

The ChaCha? That's a hateful little phone. Ugh.

Don't be so harsh :p

Just got them in here, and after a quick play, I've found it to actually be quite a good phone. And it's not small at all, in fact I was actually quite surprised at how large it is.

It's fairly quick, about on par with the wildfire s and the keyboard is nice to use too as the buttons are bigger than those on a blackberry, meaning those blessed with ham fists should find it ok too.

It's not too bad I think! Better than anything sony ericsson made with a keyboard like the hateful x10 mini pro.

HTC Doubleshot (T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide in the US)

Basically a Desire Z replacement that might not make it to the UK. (3.7" screen, 1.2GHZ dual core snapdragon, 8mp camera etc)

The doubleshot is a GSM based phone so it's not out of the question that we might see it. the chacha is flippin big for a BB form factor but on Orange at least - comes with UMA which is awesome and undervalued (totally imo as I work for them ;) ). The shortcomings to me are the internal memory (512mb) the facebook button (ruins the front keyboard imo) and the slight curve to it, I just wanted it to be straight for some reason when I held it.

The chacha is 114.4 x 64.6 x 10.7 mm so about the same size as a 4" phone. The screen is 2.6".

There is just no way you'll get me liking Android on a 2.6" screen on a phone with a DEDICATED FACEBOOK BUTTON :o

Give me a proper BlackBerry any day if you're going that route.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, that's a stupid gimmick that facebook probably paid htc a lot of money to include or vice versa, but the rest of the phone is very good in terms of how they've adapted the menus and htc sense to the smaller screen.

The keyboard is very very good though. Much better than a blackberry imo just because the buttons are bigger and more spaced apart. I always find my thumbs running into each other on a blackberry.

This will also probably be more reliable than a blackberry too ;)

I thought BlackBerry's were meant to be pretty reliable? I haven't used one for extended periods of time so I couldn't really comment but most people I know with one seem to think they're incredibly reliable/bulletproof/etc!

BB's do indeed, have one of the highest life expectancy's in mobile land. Second really to Nokia's mid/low range. The one thing that held them back was the trackball but you can fix it with the paper trick anyway.
