ok im a liaison with the server . it is not my server but i know those that run it .

darkfoot is the admin .

i help get it started and populated and play on there.


can we just leave the pettiness alone :( and just game ffs.


anyway back to bfbc2 and actually have some fun :)

That doesn't explain my question nor does it explain Darkfoot's accusations (somehow insulting).

I was not going to bring up the subject any more but since he's making an effort to come over here and throw **** at me, I'd love for this story to be finalised with more than a throwaway post that isn't making any sense whatsoever.
 
Just got this in the steam sale and it just wont work


Tried loading it through steam and it does nothing, get a breif flash of a white screen then nowt, straight back to desktop

have manually updated punkbuster, verified game files, restarted steam several times and it still does not want to load.

any ideas?

Is BFBC2 the only game on Steam giving you problems?

Try disabling your graphics card and CPU overclocks and see how it goes from there.

Might be worth editing the Settings.ini file and adjusting the options from there to see if any of them are causing troubles.

Disable Afterburner and any other overlays you might possibly have.

oh btw ben has rcon and is a admin of the server aswell maybe you should ask him to ask me to unban you but i would not hold my breath m8.....

Nowhere have I been asking you to unban me. I don't desire to play with the likes of you.

Dg asked me to apologise and I would as long as you'd acknowledge your childish behaviour on your own server.

I can't expect from you anything like that so I think we should just let it be since you're probably going to throw more unfounded accusations of me lying or doing other ****.

You're allowed to run your server however you like, I'm allowed to have an opinion about it.

Try setting DxVersion to 9 but I can't really help you much since I have no idea what causes CTDs on start up.


EDIT: Just a thought, go to your BFBC2 folder in steamapps, run BFBC2Updater. If that doesn't work, run BFBC2Game as Administrator.

I think I know what is causing the BSOD's on my PC.

At first I thought it was MSI Afterburner. After an uninstall I found out that it wasn't that.

Then I thought I was overheating. According to readings my GPU hit 70*C and my CPU hit 51*C. So it wasn't that.

Punkbuster must be the fault. Does anyone know a quick fix around this?

Dont seem to have BFBC2Updater in the folder?

copied steamaaps folder then deleted the steam, re-installed, still having the same issues, though te screen is now black insted of white

Did you change DxVersion to 9?

What exe files have you got in the bfbc2 folder?
