Gypsy gang deliberately drowned pony.

Love the replies in here... It's the Daily Mail, and therefore written to be as controversial and biased against "gypsy scum" as possible.

I suggest you all read the BBC report instead, as they deal with facts, not interpretations and hype.

Although if it turns out they were trying to deliberately drown it, I hope they all incur some nasty illness/disease. Not life threatening, just incredibly painful/annoying.

Or, they could read my reply and see the exact same report there in post #3

Gypsies don't pay vets bills, it's against their culture.

Not true. My gf has attended many a Gypsy's horse. Some of their horses can be worth up to £250,000 so they are not going to let anything of value die.

Funny thing is they always settle up at the end of the visit and get a roll of fifties out of their pocket and real a few off.;)

it was in a small article in the telegraph on tuesday aswell. in the article they said they had tried (and failed) to drown other horses and ponies but did not mention they were gypsies. don't know what to believe tbh. i would hope that they were trying to save it.

hmmm ive seen numerous people do this with horses and traps and so on .

my guess is trying to wash it or have a laugh went bad couldnt do anything left it.

if you go to appleby horse fair you commonly see the horses in the water with people riding them and so on.

ive done it myself ;)

Exactly - though I know absolutely nowt about horses and what you do with them, I certainly dare say there's a fair chance there is some training, or whatever related reason for what they were doing. Or at least that's the view I'd hold till I knew some actual facts. Doesn't stop the DM leading with "...gang of thugs who deliberately drowned a pony by pushing it into a lake.":rolleyes: LOLworthy. Shame so many on here lap it up and comment before using their brain for a second.

Shock news as Daily Mail leaps in with both feet and zero facts.

Yet somehow manages to land on its face.

Not all the facts are present but the "OMG DEM GYPSYS R SIC *****!" brigade come out in force.

It was in most likely done by gypsies though, probably cycling on the road and pavement, preaching some religious stuff, stealing our jobs, with a mac...
