I dunno whether it's worth getting this or saving a bit extra for the 6970 :(

Most demanding game I'll be playing will probably be Battlefield 3!
 
On a seperate note, I had an ATI card a while back that wouldn't allow me to get sound through the HDMI cable to my TV. Is this still the case with ATI cards? As my 460 does this perfectly.

It's not been the case for a few years now. Sound via HDMI works fine :)
 
yeap sound via hdmi with my 4890 works fine too. but i don't know how to set in windows for the speakers (via 3.5mm audio jack connected to hi-fi) and sound via hdmi to play at the same time. anyone got any ideas?
