i know a lot on the forum are/were wow players i am just curious as to see if many now share my opinion that the current WoW has nothing left to offer me as a long time player (6 years) i stopped playing just after cata tho i did clear most of its normal 10 man content before stopping
i still have time left on acc and log in once every couple of weeks but find it of no interest now miss the good old days

as in fighting boars? ;)

Id pretty much say if you played anything for 6 years youre going to get bored. ive burnt out on wow for a second time, each stint lasting about 8 months, so im impressed you lasted that long. In all honesty i think the game is designed to keep you interested for monthsof solid play rather than years and a new expansion will provide a couple of months more interest.

Played for a couple of years up until shortly after cataclysm was released. Got kicked off non epic dungeons for being too well equipped. Got kicked off epic dungeons for not being equipped well enough. Got bored. Left.

yep its not the game it used to be for me, but others continue to enjoy it for what it is now. if youre bored, move on

Move on as semi said.
It hasnt shifted radically into another game, but it certainly gets stale and end game feels so much less rewarding.

Same thing happened to me, I had been playing since Sep 05 almost constantly, stopped for a few months a couple of times but in the end the game has pretty much burnt out. Can't see my self returning.

wow has been boring since the end of tbc

I guess that depends on what content you saw in wotlk. I found LK HC 10 & 25 amazing fun. Such an epic fight and damn hard.

It's probably time for a break at least. I've been clean myself since the start of 2010, and I was raiding with the original OcUK guild. I'd suggest taking some time away and sink your time into socialising, family, clearing the games you've been meaning to play!

One day you'll wake up and it'll all seem fresh again. :)

What makes wow fun is the people you play with.
Any MMO is pretty boring if you don't know anyone IMO.

Didn't like WotLK and Cata at all, didn't last more than 2 months on either :(

Raiding in a guild is awesome but takes a whole lotta time and effort , but its very hard to get into a good raiding guild.
its not like you can play casually :(

It's always been a great shame that the way all the content brackets is transcended by gear leaves you essentially only playing for raid times within a minuscule fraction of the overall content. The rest is a choice of either bank idling or levelling your umpteenth alt.

The PVP of course is there, but to be honest, there are much better games / genres available for PVP. Also the arena/rated bg system is still deeply flawed without any punishment for losing and facile rewards for winning.

I dunno, maybe they should look at making much more solo / 2 / 3 player content, lots of mini games with inspiration taken from all manner of successful indie games out there. Always kind of held out hope for a DotA style BG but instead I got strand of the ancients and isle of conquest so I figure hoping for nothing at all from now on would be a safer bet :p

WoW comes and goes with interest. The only problem is the constant reset that they do. Its always a long grind for PvP gear or a even longer grind for PvE gear if you get unlucky. Play less or move on :D

The only fun I had I WoW is the leveling after each addon after I done that Cancel and go do something else.
Other then that there the time I went all out taking over the markets in the game made my self a lot of gold in a 2 month's before I got bord of that :)
