2600K help

I went 48x100 and put vcore @ 1.35v qpi/vtt 1.1v and cpu pll at 1.9v and ram at 1.60v and press enter F10 and went to windows, then after 5 minutes got this screen below:

Went back down to 4.6GHz with same settings as above 46x100 and got no BSD for all day on my windows playing games. My chip doesn't like 4.8 at all.

is there any actual evidence that 1.47 is going to kill my chip? i know people who use 1.5vcore and 1.51 for 5ghz

yeah you will get that bsod because thats no where near enough volts.

What will I do is when there is nearer the time to upgrade to Ivybridge or Bulldozer, I will push up vcore up to 1.48v and see what happen within a week to see if my chip had died or not. I had spoken to intel and they are happy to give me a special tool to check my chip if there is any degrading or faulty chip. Just google and type in Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool (64-bit) and enbter and download this and run the test! Mine is all PASSED. I can't post the url link here because of ocuk rules.

well with no actual evidence, ill leave mine like it is.

Did you put 1.47v under VID vcore or is it under windows (under load) ? How long have you used this 1.47v for ? You better get it checked out the intel chip test tool 'Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool (64-bit)' to see if it passed or failed.

I use the 1.47 from BIOS CPU vcore. I'll try that test tonight when I'm back home, about half8. Then ill post the findings on here mate

The chip isn't a week old yet mate, if it passes does that mean i can keep the high voltage? What voltage do u think is need for 4.6? I'm thinking maybe lowering a little, but I know ill still need over 1.4

No, it never permanently as the vdroop was very poor indeed on my z68 board. The voltage fluctuate from 1.368v to 1.416v on idle but when it under load, it staying between 1.368v and 1.380v. I try offset on Normal VID vcore but cannot adjust 1.35V as it greyed out.

I think P67 board is more likely a better board than Z68 probably down to SSD issues on the board that caused me BSD lots of times since I brought this board and taken it back to the shop and replaced same board but I think (the shop didn't swap a brand new board) cos it end up the same issues troubles over three weeks. They wouldn't refunded me back. I might getting AS Rock Extreme4 board after my holiday because I can test it easy with onboard graphic and then test it with my own graphic card. Could be my graphic card issues ? As there is no PCIE Freq 100 to 103 there anymore on my board ?

level 7 LLC , i dont even know what that is mate. ill run that test thing now. As i say im sure ive not set something right. Ive only changed a few of the options really. The only volts ive changed are the cpu volts.

Ok ive just run the Intel processor diag test and its all PASSED. No problems there.

Sorry I can't help you out mate because your board is different to my board, there is no point at all. I don't use msn or any webcam. Sorry.

My board won't boot 4.8GHz until I put 1.47vcore on it, well too high. I go back to 4.4 on 1.28vcore for now.

These are all of my settings, is there anything that seems wrong??

BLCK - 100
TURBO - 48
Internal Pll - Enabled
Mem frq 1600
Epu - off
LLC extreme
Vrm Frq 400
Phase / duty - extreme
cpu current capability 120%
cpu voltage 1.46
dram 1.65
VCCIO - auto
cpu pll - 1.90
PCH vol - auto
cpu spread - off

Sorry about double post, didnt realise
