Perfomance curiosity

Weird resolution to be fair. To get the game working on ultra everything at 1920x1200 for example you need a good cpu and a very fast graphics card. An i5 2500k overclocked with a 480gtx would give you a nice framerate as long as you disable ubersampling.

If however you want that enabled, your gonna be looking at crossfire 6950 and above I'm afraid.

Well something like this..

Intel Core i7 2600k (Overclocked)
4gb DDR3 RAM
A very good motherboard (Rampage, Sabertooth or whatever?)
AMD Radeon 6990/Nvidia 590
A good PSU capable of powering it.
SSD for extra performance

Totaling up to around £1.5k?

Atleast £1.5k. Those graphics card choices are nearly half of the total amount on their own lol (each)

The motherboard makes very little difference

Any p67 or z68 motherboard that supports SLI & crossfire will do
Plus the op would only need a 2500k cpu

And no need for an SSD for game perfomance..

dont need to spend 1.5k, my pc was around a grand and can run it maxed at 1920x1080, i tend to have supersampling off as it dips into the mid 20's sometimes, but with 2 6950's i have no problem

Quite a lot of people actually, 1280x1024 was all the rage not so long ago. It's still the 3rd most common resolution according to the Steam hardware survey.

2000x1600 is pretty strange however.
