start with downloading Visionary +
just follow steps in there.
if it wont work you will have to downgrade and links are in same thread I linked

Has anyone ever had an issue where the WiFi just stops working? Last night I downloaded a couple of free piano apps, deleated them, then while I was checking out some stuff on the youtube app it just lost connection. Even after a reboot the wifi settings screen just shows "Scanning...., Connecting...., Disconected", and repeats that, it doesn't manage to connect to my router, even though it had no trouble before.

Why don't you be more specific? How fast is sooooooooo fast? On average it should last you a day, unplug it in the morning and plug it in to charge in the evening.

Most smartphones are like that especially ones with big 4"+ displays.

What sort of usage pattern do you have?

If you go thru the setup menu to phone info you can see what is eating your battery the most.

I find I can leave it unplugged overnight and it uses less than 1% per hour, definitely I can get 24 hours use easily before it needs a charge, and thats with about 2 hours of music play, an hour of web browsing, 20-30 emails a day and maybe 10-20mins of games.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Sent my DHD back to Vodaphone as the volume buttons fell out and they sent me back one full of Vodaphone branding software that you can't delete arrrrrrrr, battery was fully charged this morning and it's nearly flat now, not happy....... it lasted a couple of days before.

I'm new to this and found the above link and one for Android Revolution which is the ROM I am going to install.

One thing, my phone is provided on contract from 3. If I come across any problems or need to send the phone back due to repair etc, I understand I would have to unroot but unsure as to how I would obtain the stock 3 rom. Do I backup the ROM first and what can I use to dop this or do I need to try and obtain a copy of it?

Sorry for the questions, I just want to be completely prepared before rooting as its new to me. :)

Does any one live in London who would be willing to root my phone for me.

why can't you do it yourself? - genuine question

I've honestly looked over the guides again and again and I'm just not capable of doing all the things needed without bricking the phone. I don't have the confidence. It's not laziness, I just don't want to wreck the thing.

Each guide links to another guide before you can perform the next step.
As my Desire HD needs downgrading the software version first, I honestly had to go three separate guides deep on the first step before I could even go to step 2 of the first guide.....I just don't have what it takes :(

fair enough, bet you'd be alright if you took it step by step though - you do have to jump about a bit but there is a logic to it, sure someone will help you out though

Haha I feel exactly the same way, way too much stuff to deal with and trying to get my head through it all hurts my brain.

On another note, I just got a system update supposedly to speed up Wifi, anyone else get this?

Guys, is there anyway when using chat apps such as eBuddy etc that the phone uses correct grammar? So starting sentence with a capital, double tapping space doesn't put a full stop there and when you do it doesn't start the next sentence with a capital! This annoys me!
