Amy Winehouse found dead

Meh, is it merely stupidity that turns someone to an addiction or is it someone impressionable influenced by a certain set of pressures existing in a certain environment.

As I said in the 'instant and moment' thread, I was recently reading a drug addicts forum. They would casually talk about how their friends had died due to speedballing and how easy it was to kill yourself... but then they would go on to recommend it! Is that stupidity? In a sense yes, but I felt that they were lost souls who had been broken into a shell of their former selves. Incredibly disturbing.

I think it's more a backlash against all the sackcloth and ashes that will be all over the social networks, with people making her out to be some angelic figure who was too good for this world and had drug problems because she was just so misunderstood and couldn't cope with all the troubles of fame.

You know, the usual hogwash.

Edit: There should have been a quote in here... One of the ones telling us off for not all tearing our clothes at the heart rending tragedy.

I'm shocked. Inevitable ending but really hoped she might find her way out of all that stuff, she was so talented. Back to black is a superb album. RIP :(

What has her talent got to do with anything? heck i dont even like here music. But at the end of the day she is a human being... i just dont find it amusing that people find death of a young woman amusing.

I don't think many find it amusing, just very unsuprising considering what she's been pumping into her bloodstream the last few years.

It might make me uncool but whatever the actual cause of her death, I found this very sad. She had talent and I would've liked to see Amy pull herself together. I guess the drink and drugs just had too much of a grip. :(
