Amy Winehouse found dead

While I am did not like the influence this individual had over others, in terms of the glorification of self destruction. It is different to be glad she is death, and certainly the choice of words by some people show a total lack of taste.

There is a very large step between not having any sympathy for someone who has died and actively wishing death upon people and insulting them after their death.

Some of you need to get a grip, especially ^TANK^.

lol 92 people die in norway andf the most importaint thing acording to sky news is amy winehouse found dead..

To be fair, I think even the robotic news readers could do with a break from a story that involves dozens of dead children. Even if it is another death, at least they get to listen to some music now.

Poor lass.

Wasn't a fan really but in her prime she did have a wonderful voice, such a shame as she has been throwing her life away for years, can't say I'm shocked :/

Fingers crossed Mr Doherty has a bad dose next .

I don't wish anyone dead, but I would not be surprised if he follows her example.

I'm sorry Tank, but regardless of whether someone is a drug addict or not, wishing death upon someone is just not on.

Some of the comments in this thread are overstepping the line. By no means am I defending her, but they're disrespectful.

People earn respect, Amy Winehouse did little or nothing to earn respect in life, I find it very difficult to give her any simply because she died.

This is another reason they should crack down on drugs even more, everyone knew she was a big drug addict, which is illegal, so why wasn't she in jail?

Wow - I had no love of her music, not my thing (but could see that that she certainly was a talented musician).

But I seriously do think a lot of the posts on here are completely inappropriate. :(

Funny how some people are up in arms about ryan dunn but when somebody talented kills themselves it's jokes all round. I would also say the press contributed to her downward spiral.

I thought Ryan Dunn was awesome but I still laughed at the jokes, she did it to herself as much as he did and deserves no sympathy.

It annoys me that the only opinion you can have in these threads is 'R.I.P, such a shame'.

Or it's proof that cracking down on drugs, like they have been for years does jack and they should legalise most and control the quality. But that's another argument for another thread.

Shame how someone who's clearly died in relation to substance abuse no doubt is a bigger news story than the absolute carnage that's just happened in Norway.

Not a particular fan of her or her music, sad situation though. Some rather crap comments in this thread, yes she wasted her life, however I'm sure few people on here know what its like to have a serious drug addiction. How easy/hard it is to say yes to help when you feel like the drug is the most important thing in the world.

So you think it's acceptable to wish death upon someone? I'm disappointed, I really thought better of you.
:( Oh well we have all been disappointed at some stage or another with a fellow poster. I was disappointed with Tefal not so long ago, still love him though what ya gonna do :o.

I see it as a backlash more against the cult of celebrity, rather than her as such.

It's not.

But what do you want - should they just carry on running something as a main news story until something 'bigger' happens in life?
