She knew she had a problem and she chose to do nothing about it.

I didn't like her because of her face and screetchy voice, but I can't say I'm ever chuffed if anyone dies. Unexpected but not entirely surprised. Ultimately it was her own choice, and she had a better chance at a great lifestyle than most get but she decided not to take it.

Castiel, you agreed with the post from Tank, and his is one of the most repulsive comments I have seen in these forums.

I agreed with his sentiment if not the bluntness and wording of his comment. She did not show any evidence of being anything other than a self obsessed, self gratifying and selfish human being, which in itself would imply a degenerate character, so while Tanks wording may have been rather blunt, she was, on the face of it, a rather vile character.

While that character may have been influenced heavily by her addictions, she was offered and had the opportunity to fight those addictions and while I accept that addiction is a difficult thing to overcome, I know people with a strength of character who have done just that without the resources or support offered to Amy Winehouse.

Her response to the help she was offered was to debase that help and glorify and revel in her iniquitous lifestyle, often to the detriment of the millions of fans who paid to see her cancelled concerts or for her to show up in a state which meant she either could not perform or offered sub standard performances. This is not mentioning the family and friends she abandoned when they tried to help her.

So no, I do not feel anything for this woman, she doesn't deserve my respect or my recognition even in passing. In fact I find it disrespectful to those who do deserve our recognition but who do not receive it simply because they are not in the public eye or deemed newsworthy.

Why would a person do this to themselves? She had tons of people behind her back to help her with all the drink and drug addictions, but instead she decided to ignore everything and just ruin herself.

That saying is awful. It's basically telling you there is only one way to be or telling you to play down your true feelings.

Yes but in this case its true. We all know she did this to herself but to **** her off within hours of her death is disgusting. You wouldn't say it about the kids in Norway. Who knows some of them could have been thieves/druggies but the fact you didn't know is reason enough not to slate them?

Most likely none of them were at there age and its a completely different scenario but that isn't the point, we're all lucky to have our lives. Not everyone is the same as you, I, or the majority of this forum.

Some people are affected by drugs and gripped to them, fortunately a lot of us aren't. She was an unfortunate case, she rised to fame and got herself mixed with the bad stuff/people.

Fame definitely has its ups and downs. I can't really argue with opinions. Meh nullified

Everything except religion in that list can be observed in the animal kingdom.

Horrible she died that way but it's far from unexpected.
