LMAO...it's 3:30am and I havent checked this thread since earlier and now its 2 pages long...I just read every single reply and I couldn't stop laughing all the way through, didnt realise how funny this thread was going to be when I originaly made it
Just hearing all the different reactions from different people about me eating 210 egg whites each week, hilarious!
...it's probably taken out of perspective because when I have 10 medium eggs as egg whites the yoke is taken out therefore what I'm eating is pure 100% protein and it works out at around 40 grams of protein per meal, having that 3 times a day...I'm having 7-8 meals a day, its usually 3 egg white meals, 2 fish meals and 2-3 protein shakes...usually one whey shake after my workout and one casein before bed...and then sometimes I have a 2nd shake through the day so minimum 7 meals per day but sometimes 8.
The breakdown is like this:
325g - protein
130g - carbs
88g - fat
I'm also a pesceterian which means I get my protein from fish and eggs mainly but I also drink protein shakes too.
Also when you think of 210 eggs, if I ate meat I'd just eat stake 8 times a day instead, or I would eat beef or chicken or turkey 8 times a day.
So me eating 10 egg whites in one meal is just the same as a meat eating bodybuilder eating a steak or a plate of chicken whatever.
It just sounds like a lot because you have nothing to compare it to, when you compare it to what meat eaters eat when bodybuilding, its just the same.
I'm a pesceterian so obviously I have to get my protein from different sources as we need lots of protein to build/repair muscle.
I'm really happy with my diet/nutrition at the moment, I've been cutting since 29th april (was bulking before that), it's been hard on low carb diet, but its all going good, am in best shape of my life, feel amazing, which is why I made this post, because I dont want to change anything.
It might be easier to eat 30 eggs than four cans of sardines a day, fair play for doing both.
May I suggest tuna? Not quite as cheap, but often on special offer, and at 25% protein, 0.5% fat, nil carbohydrate it's about as good as food gets.
Yeah I think am probably going to go buy tuna tomorrow instead, I guess I'm just going to have to pay more because sardines are just gone now...maybe they'll come back in the future after a few seasons off from being fished to extinction, maybe if we leave them alone the last few remaining survivors will breed thousands of new baby fish.
EDIT: BTW for those of you who dont know, if you go to ASDA you can buy a tray of 30 medium eggs for £2.98, these are the cheapest eggs in britain! I've tried all other supermarkets and even the market in town, theres nowhere that does eggs of this size and quality for this price....to put that into perspective most shops sell 12 medium eggs for £2.98...yet I'm buying 30 medium eggs for £2.98...if ASDA ever stop selling these farmers choice trays I'm going to buy egg white cartens from supplement websites online such as these =

I guess a tray of 30 medium eggs could feed a normal size family...husband/wife/2 kids for around a month lol.
