I suspect they are massively bogged down at the moment - I would hate to need a decent response from them right now.

Really? I've just entered my code now and it's showing in my account so I wouldnt have thought it would be that.

It showed in my account on thur when i put it in but went into my account on sat and it had gone.

What I cant get is why they are being funny about sorting it when Ive got proof of purchase and registration from them.

I kind of agree with what you are saying about it being quite linear. Although MMO's these days aren't the sandbox games they used to be. My first impressions of the game were, "The cinematics, voiceovers, and story are brilliant", later followed with frustration feeling that I was resticted to having to play the game level by level and not being free to do my own thing. I think the biggest dissapointment for me was that for a long time I had hoped this would be Star Wars Galaxies 2 - but it's not.

I think as long as you manage your expectations you wont be dissapointed.

This game isnt the game I was hoping for, however I still enjoyed this game from what I played in beta, it's just not the same type of game like SWG that I could play non stop.

Now I know what to expect I'm just looking forward to playing through the stories of all the different classes and enjoying the game as though it were KotOR 3. :)

Tho VO started driving me crazy, you pick up one quest, takes 2/3 minutes chatting, you turn around and there are 2 more quests in the same room, and they all take thats long to get.. you spend so much time talking it annoying.

The PvP arena are fun...except .. for the very annoying fact you cant choose which one you wanna do, of the the first 3 or 4, there was one I really did not like (the football type one) .. and 8/10 times thats the one I got into ..the one where you have to control the guns to shoot down the ships was by far the best ..but its lucky dip which u end up in..and often very unbalanced i.e 4 v 7. for the life of me I cant see why you can not choose your arena you want to play .. its like they want to hold your hand throughout the game.

Top that with a very poor chat system and a very basic guild set up ( and I mean very basic)... Its when a game like this comes out and the Dev's say they play other mmo's, then you join the one they made and I find my self asking the question have these guys played a mmo before ever?? and if they did they get the point!

Perhaps they want the PvP arena's tested and if people always picked a favorite some wouldn't get tested as much as others, this is still the beta and the reason why an NDA is active.

That's fair enough, but it was always going to be that way as VO was one of the first things mentioned by BW when they announced the game.

It's beta, I'm sure they wanted people to experience all the PVP arenas and provide feedback, not just play the maps they liked. The matchmaking system will always work better with higher populations and I can't imagine arenas being left to random only upon release.

Again it's beta. From my previous beta expererience, chat and guild code is the last things worked on before release. I would expect these to be as good as existing MMO's come release.

Sorry but your points above in my opinion will not be indicative of the final release, and should be expected from a beta.

Fan the fires !

A big year for EA me thinks...

But now we can see why they charged £120 quid for CE.

EA's market capitalization stands at $5.2 billion

EA, on the other hand, is going through some tough times. During its last fiscal year, which ended on March 31, the company posted a $677 million loss on more than $3.6 billion of revenue. A year prior to that, EA posted annual revenue of $4.2 billion and a $1.088 billion loss :rolleyes:

Well I've registered for testing. Doubt I'll get it tho. Here's hoping. I am still not going to pre-order just yet tho. Altho I am tempted for the CE all of a sudden. Or is it just the fact that I've been paid today? :p

They're quick.

Unfortunately the Live Chat is closed at 5 and I'll be in another country tomorrow, not sure if I'll have the time to contact them.

Here you go:

11:50:37: Hi, just a quick question. Star Wars TOR pre-order, does this include the headstart code?
11:51:18 Lars: no, afraid not
11:51:40: No probs, thought as much as you're not listed on the official site, I just wanted to confirm.

Didn't think it would, but worth asking.
