Havent gamed in years what FPS should I buy ?

depending on the spec of your rig i would suggest some of the following:

stalker
Crysis + addon
BFBC2
Bioshock
FEAR
I cant comment on Crysis 2 as i've not played it yet, but the following games are very good first person shooters

If you have not played any fps in a long while then maybe some older titles such as half life 2 and episode 1 and 2.
 
CoD4 if anything from the CoD series. I think Black Ops is appalling, but even without hating it it still has fraustrating problems. MW2 if you're a masochist (good game, but very poor online experience and some features are 'lolwut')

This. If you have to play any of the modern CoDs (by which I mean anything post-CoD2) then CoD4 is it. The others contain more pap than a smear.
 
I reckon build up to BFBC2.... there's no rush or limit to only playing on is there?

Go through Furos' list in chronological order....
 
The oldies are better - MOHAA, COD/U0, COD2, UT 2004 and Wolf ET.

It doesnt matter they look lame by todays standards the gameplay shines through (and the above games dont look that rubbish).

I guess you are right. I am not a fan so never bought it and never got the free version.

But TF2 is not abandonware, in that respect I think people who paid full price for it should get a free code to unlock something special in the game itself.

But hey that's just my view.
