Apparently the 2.3 update is live, my laptop isn't working to check, you do need to be on a stock unrooted 2.1rom tho.

Ive heard rumours all day on various forums, yet i installed stock 2.1 and didnt root it, but nothing came up..

How the hell do you slide the keyboard in v009?? I think it's broken. No Baseband showing, no signal, no nothing!

I think the general thought is, SE are planning on releasing this Week, 25th to 30th, with no real date given, and as such minor updates have been given to PC companion, and various websites saying its here, even though its not lol, but its only a matter of days away, ill be sticking to the 2.1, even though i loved the speed and battery life on the custom one i was using.

yea it didnt work for me either, i stuck with v008.1.

I've just gone back to 2.1 in preparation. As long as i've got the ability to make calls and texts I can give everything else a miss for a few days!

Ive spent hours flashing back, and bodging my laptop power supply to get it working, to find it nots out

how bloody anoying lol. sticking with 2.1 for now, im on the generic 2.1 .

im on the german one i think, couldnt find a global generic to flash lol X10i_2.1.B.0.1_CUST-DE GENERIC 1235-7836 is what ive got on...I suspect SE have done the site, and are probably uploading the firmwares, and will make them completley live in the next day or 2.

Edit. How freaking low is the ear piece on the stock kernel and rom, christ its bad, been using a custom kernel with the volume fix for months and now i dont have it im barely able to hear people

wont be making many phone calls till 2.3 comes then

So, after completely killing the GFs x10 last night, I finally ended up going back to Blue Sparks, it just works. I ended up in a position where the phone wouldnt turn on and I couldnt get to xrecovery. In the end, I had to flash a stock SE rom through the flasher tool. Then I upgraded the baseband and then went back to Blue Sparks.

Tried V009 and the keyboard didn't work, v008 just kept power cycling and so did AchtoJens

As some of you have seen we have communicated on www.sonyericsson.com that the Gingerbread software update for Xperia X10 is available. Unfortunately that information was a bit too premature. The launch is imminent and timing according to plan but we just need some more days before we can push the button. SE aren't exactly good at release dates especially with the X10. A few more days won't hurt - I miss my X10

Im starting to hate mine, just cant afford to get an Arc instead lol, a lot of speculation that Hong Kong will get it midnight today (wednesday) as they got updates for the Arc on a wednesday and the rest got them on the Friday..But As you say its only a few days and i can live with the 2.1 for now, at least the camera actually works properly unlike some of the 2.2 roms

Press back and skip the setup to start with.
To get your connection back simply go to Settings/Bad behaviour then press Crash System Server. Your phone will freeze and reboot.

When it starts up again everything will be rosy

I'm running 9 and its sweet.

I still havnt updated my mini pro to 2.1, and cant be bothered because the keypads backlight is bust on one side. I'm going to wait until the last month of my contract to RMA it though since everything but the keypad light is working fine.

Tried that, still didn't work. Nio signal and no BB recorded in settings.

Oh that problem is easy to fix, once the rom is installed, just Re-Flash the BB.67 or whatever you use and it works, i had that problem with 008.1 but didnt get it with 009.

As for the signal, the rom is designed to reboot itself constantly till it gets signal, so you might want to try constantly rebooting it manually if you werent getting that..
