Hi all,

When I was at school I'd really enjoy reading various magazines but these days I hardly read any. In fact I cannot remember the last I purchased.
Magazines I used to purchase:

PC Zone
PC Gamer
N64 magazine
Official Nintendo magazine
MBUK (biking magazine)

Main reason I stopped purchasing was the content really went downhill in all cases. At their peak, I really liked the edginess of the computer magazines with writers generally giving the impression that they care and understand what they are talking about.

Any mags you lot miss?

used to regularly buy Mbuk and MBR, sometimes Neo Mag ( the anime rag )
last magazine i bought was two weeks ago, special guide to hot android apps or some drivel for a tenner :O

I still buy 2-3 a month. Usually Evo, Stuff, Nat Geo, etc. I dont have subscriptions to any, I prefer to flick through them in the newsagents to see if the content interests me.

Im not one to go for ipad magazines, ebook readers etc. Call me old fashioned or whatever but IMO you cant substitute a book, newspaper or magazine for the real thing.

Not for years, and I used to but just about every motorcycle mag every month, and quite a few computer mags.
Now its easier to read them in Morrisons. ;)

Got a subscription to SFX and PSM3 - had them both for about 3-4 years. Thinking of cancelling PSM3 as its gone through a revamp recently that Im not too happy with, but SFX will remain.

I used to subscribe to Personal Computer World, National Geographic and Time. The subscriptions lapsed because I just stopped reading them. These days I get Radio User, BMW Car, Amateur Photographer and occasional pick up a camera or hi-fi mag when I’m out and about.

I used to buy pc pro, pc zone, pc gamer, computer arts, 3d world, the men's health and fitness magazines. Now I just use the websites or read the magazines on my iPad. No more physical magazines to buy anymore. The iPad is so much more convenient.

No. I do occasionally if I'm going on a long train trip but that's really the only time when I do.

The Economist and National Geographic, subbed to both.

Used to read PC Gamer but don't see the point now that most of the content that they put out is available online.

Can't remember the last time I did. Magazines are far too expensive and are also full of adverts, I'm not paying £5+ for something I'm going to throw in the bin once I've read it.

I tend to buy the economist, but aside from that no. Long train journeys now mean netbook & 3G, which rather beats magazines & costs nothing.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better. Theres one mag out there touching £7. And yes tons of double-spread adverts for silly clothing lines and colognes...you feel u paid for a model portfolio with articles in between.

Best way to read these things is at the store or your library. But of course now digital edtions are out everywhere and thats the best way to go I think if you wanna subscribe.

I subscribe to Stuff mag. But really as everyone says, you can get it all from the websites. Think i'll be the last time i subscribe.
