Depends what you're doing with it.

If you're talking about gambling it in the markets then 20% is very good. (assuming you've been fairly consistent).

If you're say trying to run a business with it part time then I'd suspect you'd want to earn a bit more. Not so long ago 'investing' 5k in UGG boots then flogging on eBay could have got you another 5k in a fairly short period of time ( though would have required a fair bit of effort).
 
I would look at investing in domain names. Like all investments, you really need to do your homework first. DO NOT INVEST until you know what you're doing. However, the beauty of domain names is that you can register a new (free to reg) domain very cheaply, so risk can be kept low, and then you just pay renewal fees. If you get it right, you can sell the domain on for a good profit and a very healthy Return on Investment.

Shares carry much more risk as a share price fall can wipe out your investment.

You can also buy domains on the secondary market, but obviously this is more expensive.

That is a lot of money well to me any way some on here its probably pocket money :P.

I would use some for our wedding me and my partner are so desperately saving for but this day and age bills come first.

I would love to get me a lathe and milling machine which I all so seem to never get any where near doing but then that's what having kids do I suppose hahaha.
 
Damn 2.3k a month what the @*%$ I wished I was taking that home or should I say I wised I used to take that home.

what are you a gigolo or some thing? :P
