All iPhone 5 speculation/rumours/wants thread

It ANNOYS the hell out of me when people have just brought an Iphone 4 or had it no longer than about 6 months and are ALREADY saying they are going to get rid of it for a Iphone 5.

What a complete waste, the Iphone 4 itself it still one of the best or best phones out there and its just so annoying to hear people saying they're just going to get rid of it. I can accept people who have a 3G/S, since thats old tech but the Iphone 4 users need to get a grib, seriously.

I have a 3G. It does what I need it for, calls/texts/FB/Whatsapp. All be it it's seen better days and is rather slow. So I will be upgrading to the 5.

Have to agree.

My 3GS is still very usable phone and does everything I want.

But I have been wanting a new one (I did want a IP4 when they came out) and have waited patiently so will be treating myself. :D

I've had the iPhone 4 for 14 months, 16 by the time I actually get round to upgrading (assuming I do).

Is that long enough to upgrade, do I have permission? :rolleyes:
 
I've had the iphone 4 for only 3 months but will be getting the 5 when it comes. If you got the money spare I cant see the problem.

Wow, what a stupid and pointless rant.
 
Ill be selling mine as ive had it for just under a year...but will wait to see what the new iphone5 is all about....if it doesnt offer much in terms of hardware then i might hold onto my iphone4 and wait for the next one....

Reason I want an iphone 5 is because I can have one. I have the money, I have the use. Why not?

I just have a habit of upgrading all my tech (specially graphics cards :p). I see no problem with it.

what I do have a problem with, however, is people who don't look after their property at all and just think - meh, i'll just buy a new one.

I've always preferred selling whilst it still has value
 
I've just put my 3GS on a rolling 30 day contract so I can upgrade as soon as the new one is out. I personally don't like the iphone 4 that much so I am happy to wait.
 
I bought an iPhone 4 32 gb on the day they were first available - no contract. I'm on a 3 30 day rolling contract now.

Personally I'm very interested in the iPhone 5 and what it may offer. However I'm significantly more taken with what Windows Mobile are doing.

I use my phone for e-mails, texting / messaging / Whatsapp, web browsing, a few apps and watching movies / listening to music. I use Twitter heavily for work and Facebook a lot for me.

Atm iOS4 just is so far behind what's available, let alone what's possible. WM7 seems to be what my sort of user is looking for, although the hardware seems to be a little off so far.

My money is on me just watching iPhone 5 launch roll on by until I see the WM7 hardware that I like.
 
Well after actually reading all the posts in this thread (from the end of May) I've decided what I'm going to do.

My contract is supposed to end October but I decided to extend it by another 12 months from today and instead of my usual £35, I'll be on £15 with 5gb Internet :D

With the savings (roughly £300) I will buy an iPhone 5 and sell my iPhone 4 for around £350. With the £50 profit I will buy a case and screen protectors.

Am I right in saying that it should have a 4" screen? I very much doubt it, although I would love it to have it. Will it have AMOLED?

Another thing I would love to see Is an fm tuner but I doubt this will happen :(

And were agreed that it will be 32 and 64 GB?
 
I doubt it will be AMOLED, the current iPhone screen is better than the SAMOLED+ that Samsung currently use anyway IMO.
