You guys are going to get a good laugh out this because I was that bad. :o

But anyway it was a gift and I did enjoy it - though I didn't think the Ferrari 360 lived up to the hype. Mainly the paddle shift single clutch gearbox...it was suprisingly jerky and slow and to be honest I would have preferred a manual coupe model, ah well, just an excuse to get a go in the 458 italia next time. :p

It was also a bit annoying that all the mirrors were facing the passenger/instructor so I tell at all how close cars behind were. :(

:D :o

To the right, tooo the right, TO THE RIGHT!!! I would have pushed her out the car by then.

I have to say, that looks hugely frustrating, controlled and naggy compared to the day I did at Thruxton last month.

Her keep leaning over to flick the indicator would have driven me nuts.

I can't say i'm surprised you found the car a bit underwhelming though, doesn't seem like you got a chance to give it a boot in anything lower than 4th and everytime you hit 70mph she was telling you to ease off.

The mirrors thing seems silly as well, would be much easier to just fit a secondary rear view for her and let you have the rest of the mirrors.

Without commentation on OP's skill or anything like that, that looks totally naff, Just a bunch of cones and some naggy women telling you to ease off.

Glad you enjoyed it but you barely touched 65mph by the looks of it :\

My instructor was just as annoying on my trackday experience tbh (was in a rally spec Evo at the time). His advice was "aim at the corner in a straight line then turn sharply at the very last moment. That's how f1 drivers do it." -_- Errrm, no. I don't think so.

lol
I would get out of a car if she would flick the indicator even once for me....
and as Kenai mentioned, you never went past 70mph ??? in a ferrari ?!?!?!?!

and 40mph on 4th gear....my company benz van in automatic accelerates better then she allowed you on the track ...

I do hope you have enjoyed it at least a bit !

That looked terrible. You would have a better day doing it where I work. Although it does cost considerably more...

Jesus that woman is irritating.

Yeah I really see it now I've watched the video. I guess I was just concentrating on driving the bloody car as it was my first time doing this sort of thing. First thought I had when walking up to the car and she got out was...is that Wierd Al?

But yeah, after talking to my dad who went in with a different instructor in a 458 he said he let him boot it past 120mph. :(

I guess its just luck of the draw.

Though next time I might try the Focus RS they had as it looked way more fun! :p :o

I went on a rally day in York a few years ago and they really let is thrash it, was great fun. I could never do one of these. Someone nagging me would just distract from the whole experience. Would be more fun taking your own car on a £100 airfield day or something.

I would have pushed the old bint out passenger side door, what a witch ... This is why i would never ever do one of these days.

I wonder if perhaps the way you booted it when she first said to accelerate and then sounded a bit confused and nervous when she said to slow it up a bit made her assume you were a generally nervous driver and so she didn't want to let you push it too hard?

The moment that thing said '''to the right, to the right TO THE RIGHT'' and touched the wheel I'd be tempted to smack it hard.

That's worse than my driving instructor. I would have a gazillion times more fun by simply driving my own car around on an airfield, or dragging a bit with a couple of mates.
