Nowt called media in my battery usage menu.
 
Well, since we are on different ROMs going off what I say might not be of any help. This media thing might normally be there on yours.
 
You on Wolfs now? I noticed i was getting worse battery performance on his, hence i went to stock 2.3.3 and rooted it, so ive got the freedom of doing whatever i want.
 
While this is still in my head, how on earth do you sync the contacts with Facebook, so i get their contact pictures? Do i need to add their full name in my contacts or something silly? never been able to work it out even with the old 2.1 roms.
 
Must admit this update was worth flashing back from a custom rom.

The email app is really nice, i just found out by accident that if you put it in landscape mode it opens up a email viewing panel on the right! lol

Probably had that for ages and never noticed, hey ho hehe
 
My battery settled down, the Media thing seems to be a scanning thing, just to pick up and check the libarys are complete...anywhoo from a full charge, 15hours later, ive had Wifi on, and made around 3 hours of calls, and its still on 76% lol, bloody madness, you were lucky to get any decent battery life out of the 2.1/2..think my best on 2.2 was 25 hours from a full charge, this is shaping up to beat it hands down.
 
Anyone thinking of running a custom rom now should definatly check out, Trips new MIUI rom, its awesome, really quick, looks fantastic and combined with alternative app draw its perfect for me.
 
Is anybody having problems downloading from the market after rooting stock 2.3.3? I keep getting download unsuccessful! I get this whether I'm downloading from the market on my phone or my pc.

I have cleared the data from download manager and cleared the cache from the market but it's still not working!
 
ive just updated my arc and one of the features was landscape on the home screen, yet mine aint doing it? im i missing something?

Are the apps you can't download apps you have bought? Because I could download some but not all and it only seemed to my paid apps that were affected.

From what I recall, IF this is the problem, you need to uninstall the market update that you can find in "settings>applications>manage applications" then after that run the market again and then exit it and then it should update to the new market the next time you start it.

Out of interest which market do you have at the moment?
