if they're planning to ddos it also advertising that "November 5th facebook wil lgo down" for the next few months would mean there would be a lot more "legit" traffic logging on to face book to see if it really went down which might help make it easier.

"we've shown we can take down your biggest websites AT WILL! We will come again soon. We are anonymous blah blah etc etc".

Will be a complete anti-climax, though I would love to see the state of some of my friends if that site goes down for even a day.

Why all the hate for Facebook? It's a brilliant website, which I can use to communicate with all the mates I have met in various parts of the country. It's also been a lifeline when my phone died in the middle of London, I could log on and arrange someone to be able to come pick me up, otherwise I would have faced a 6 hour walk (I only had my netbook on me, was able to jump on bt openzone, and had had my wallet stolen )

So yeah, in my opinion Facebook is a great site with a lot of benefits

why do you think that? i use to it stay in touch with family that moved away, friends that i dont get to see often.

im not one of these addicts but i think being able to stay in touch with friends and family is a very good thing

I'm pretty sure there's nothing on my facebook that is of any interest to any alleged clandestine government agencies seeing as I don't use it to plan real terrorism, cyber terrorism or illegal riots etc. I'm not really sure what threat facebook holds to my liberty.

I use it as a very useful tool to keep in touch with friends, arrange events, find decent music, share photos etc.

If they take it down, I'm not too fussed - It'll come back again.

It's all a bit pathetic really isn't it?

Exactly. They are scum. A lot of people use FB and similar simply to stay in touch with each other.
Criminal scum are criminal, and seeing the same people support it that were gobbing off at the rioters in the other thread is pathetic.

Ruddy hope so, can't stand social media type rubbish. Funny vids on youtube, ok, people blogging their boring lives on youtube and calling it a career... die die die. Everything facebook should go.

But you have an average of 3.8 posts a day on here. Judging by that you probably spend more time on this forum (which is a form of social media) than the average facebook user.

Doesn't make sense.
