So my free month of PS+ has expired from the welcome back offer. If I now subscribe for a year, will I be able to play the games from that months offer (Burnout, Streets of Rage etc)?

Also, is there any good deals on PSN vouchers at the minute in order to reduce the cost of PS+?
 
Ugh, I was enfuriated when my month ran out and those games got "locked".
It was supposed to be an apology for all the trouble and security failures the least they could have done was let us keep what we got while we had it! They didn't even warn that they would get locked on expiration (afaik).
 
You were given two full games which are yours forever, it was mentioned many many times here and probably everywhere else on the net that the games downloaded via the free PSN+ sub would lock when the free month ran out.
 
But will they unlock again once there's been a gap in your PS+ subscription or do you lose all the free games forever once PS+ expires?

The info about this online is very unclear......
 
They unlock again once you re-subscribe.

Howitzer - the two free games from a choice of 5 was the apology from Sony for being hacked. The free month of PS+ was just a little icing on the already generous cake and was an ideal way to introduce the service to people who would never have tried it.

I thought they were very generous and gave us more than I would have expected.
Some people, however, expect the whole PS3 games catalogue and a lifetime subscription to PS+.
There's a word for those people - but this is a family forum.
 
It will still be listed under your transactions / downloads list in account on your PS3 so you'll be able to download them again.
 
Odd that it's not there now. I haven't stopped PS+ so can't say for 100% certainty about that situation. I would guess that it will show back up when you subscribe.

Does seem odd that it's not there though, for sure.

Yeah, I appreciated the games, although I had no choice as I already owned 3 of them. Good thing the GF thought that Rachet and clank (I think that's what it was) looked fun for her haha!

I didn't mean to sound so angry in my post - I was just shocked as I wasn't prepared for it (I obviously missed the warning) and slightly frustrated as I was doing pretty well on Streets of Rage :P

It's good to know they unlock again when you sign up though rather than having to re-buy if the 'free' offer's over. May actually concider signing up.

Again, sorry to have annoyed so many of you :S
