I dont even play crysis. As I already said Guild Wars was released the same year as WoW and it alone already looks 10x better and has a far better art style too.
I strongly doubt however that you or other people stating WoW in tis thread have actually tried to play other MMOs and simply dismiss them and call WoW superior for no reason other than fanboyism.
WoW is far from being the 'best looking MMO' which is what this thread asks, it is a is specifically asking for MMOs that look nice and no WoW does not fit that requirement for anyone with functional eyes.
WoW has never looked great, and it didnt even look slightly good 5 years ago.
Funny that some areas of WoW struggle to run at even 30 fps on a 5870 + I7 920. A lot of other MMOs that are better coded than WoW actually look and run better on a larger range of computers, and I really dont know many people that still use pre DX9 graphics cards, which are capable of running every other MMO out there.
Also if people can afford the fees for WoW, then there is no reason why they cant afford a new graphics card / PC.
The point is that you and several others failed at reading the OP and started posting crap about WoW in any thread with 'MMO' in its title:
=/= WoW.
Anyone stating WoW as an answer to the OP in this thread must be a troll.

I think rather the idiot spouting his interpretation of the question as irrefutable fact and anyone else who dis-agrees must be the troll. Seems you are largely alone versus many, many others who prefer to look at WoW.

I didnt state that, I never said anything like it, I simply quoted the OP which you have still failed to read and comprehend. If you answered WoW in this thread then that must mean that you also think its graphics are 'droolworthy'?
No you definitely havnt as I'm actually older than you and have been playing MMOs for twice as long. Take a look in the mirror at the 'kid', read what the OP asks and stop trolling about WoW in an irrelevant thread.
Does that mean 'Kids who dont play or know anything about games other than WoW in the MMO genre?' The 'majority' of gamers dislike the look of WoW.

In some cases that can be true, such as both Guild Wars 1 + 2.
Its funny though that you dont get fans of that game banging on about how its the best thing ever since the Mona Lisa like you do with WoW.

In my opinion and for me in the time I have been playing MMOs World of Warcraft has had the biggest impact and is my favourite MMO right now to look at. I despise the looks of Rift which, while being technologically superior, does not appease me. I have played my fair share of MMOs from all genres to be qualified to make an opinion that, shock horror is my opinion. As much as you would like to think I started MMO life in WoW you could not be farther from the truth.

I barely played Lotro or AoC for too long as I didnt like them much either (yes I hate typical cookie cutter level MMO gameplay), but I have no reason not to list them as being graphically superior to my favorite MMO when they actually are unless I was a fanboy of my favorite MMO.

I would have to say rift as well. I lost interest in the game after a month, but while I did play it (usually on or close to maxed out settings) I found myself taking screenshots all the time like a tourist, a lot of "wow" moments. Oh and I'm a massive nerd playing mmos since 2001 before anyone adds anything.
So you Google Image searched and picked a SS of WoW running with low settings with 0x AA/AF and that's your comparison shot?
