2. Replace for like for like performing product, so say a 9600 GT replaced with a 430GT product.
3. Finally if all else fails, credit at market value or what you paid, the lesser of the two and then you can put that towards a new card.

What about if it was the 9800GT 512MB? If there's no 9800GT for replacement, and there is no like for like performing product on Nvidia's offer (GT440 is quite a bit slower than a 5670, which itself is quite a bit slower than the 9800GT), so does that mean it would go straight to step 3, or would you try to source a refurbished GTX250 512MB or something like that?

We'd replace it for the closest performing product or await for a manufacturer replacement, if no replacement available then we will swap for closest better performing card so maybe in this case a GTS 450.

But we shall be keeping some buffer stock for replacements, so all in all their should be no issues anyway.
