The missus doesn't like our microsoft wireless keyboard. Her main issue is not having the caps/scroll lock lights... so I guess this means going back to wired, though not a problem.
However, for me, I just love typing on the laptop, the soft touch of the keys makes my typing much faster.
Also, the wife likes to use a gel wrist support which isn't compatible with the current keyboard, what with it's curved lower edge.

So, is there anything out there that will do the job? Logitech ones look preferable from images, though I really need to go into a computer shop to get a feel.

Budget: £30 absolute maximum!

Logitech Ultra X, love that thing. It's got a laptop typing feel. She might not be crazy about the looks.

Or an apple keyboard.

Or if she likes Illuminated keyboard (shiny!), a Microsoft Sidewinder X4. It's a gaming keyboard, but rather understated.

She seems specific about it as well. not gonna be easy. Maybe just some 'ergonomic' logitech. I suppose you're right and scouting the local shops will be a better solution.

thanks for recommendations so far.
As the logitech is half the price of the MS, it currently makes it look better - though i don't think it looks terrible. Good reviews too, which i think is a reflection of the price. The MS one generally has good reviews from gamers, but that's a bout it. I'll play the odd game (WoW), but would prefer a standard keyboard if it was a choice based on usability.
Plus the MS wristrest isn't detachable so can't put her gel one there instead.

dc w=ld here we come, I guess!
